Teacher Notes Students have finally mastered finding area of 2-D shapes, and then you throw a composite figure at them and suddenly their minds go blank. Help them break down the formulas and the concepts with this station activity and exit ticket! For the stations, put the students in groups of 4-5 and spread them out in the classroom. Give about 8-10 minutes per station depending on the length of your classes. (For questions involving circles, use 3.14 for pi!) You can give the exit ticket for homework, or have them complete it before they leave. Also, you could have them complete it as a warm-up the next day if time permits. Please leave feedback and let me know how this works for you in the classroom!
