• Boys Kabaddi team won

Championship at University of

Mumbai.

With this wealth of experience, our college

presents a workshop on Sports Medicine. This

workshop will be an intensive one-day program

designed to introduce students to the exciting

field of sports medicine and sportsmen’s diet.

Objectives of the Workshop

• Provide scientific and clinical

information to increase the participants’

knowledge about exercise, fitness, health,

aging, nutrition and physical performance.

• Provide a forum for discussion of

contemporary issues related to nutrition

and exercise science.

• Promote interaction among nutrition

and exercise specialists to provide new

approaches to and perspectives on

nutrition, exercise and aging.

College Profile Maharshi Dayanand College was founded in

1962 by late Shri Mangaldas N. Verma, a

noted philanthropist and industrialist. He had a

fervent desire to bring education to the

socially and economically challenged section

of the society. The college caters to the needs

of about 8,000 students in Arts, Science and

Commerce streams. NAAC has reaccredited

the college in 2011.

Our college excels in Indian Games- Kabaddi

and Kho-Kho. For last four decades our

college organizes not only the modern

international sports but also the traditional

Indian sports. Every year the college organizes

the “Festival of Indian Games” to promote

traditional sports.

We also have Yoga Centre and well equipped

gymnasium. We provide coaching facilities

for Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Yoga,

Kabaddi and Kho-Kho. We organize Zonal

and Inter-zonal Kabaddi and Yoga

tournaments for University of Mumbai.
