Melissa Bowman absolutely loves teaching Zumba! The reason is simple: every class feels like a party! I began dancing at age three, and I hold a minor in Dance from the University of Alabama. In my spare time I enjoy choreographing for individuals and groups. Through

Zumba I’ve been able to continue pursuing my love of dance and meet new people. I believe my class offers something for everyone. I incorporate a variety of music and all levels are welcome – you don’t have to have dance experience. The only rules are to keep

moving, and most importantly, have fun. I guarantee you will have a blast.

Scott Bowman was an NCAA fencer at the University of North Carolina. A Junior Olympian and All-ACC Scholar-Athlete, Scott has over twenty years’ experience as a Fencing and Stage Combat instructor. He is the Drama Director

at the Montgomery Academy and has taught Stage Combat at ASF for over a decade. He hopes anyone who has ever been excited watching The Princess Bride or the Olympics will come out and give fencing a try.

Corelia Davis “My favorite thing about music, from a teaching standpoint, is that it greatly impacts your other core subjects in school. Music awakens the artistic part of your mind that also integrates skills needed in Math, Science, Literature, and History! Children are the future. That’s
