Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Restricts discrimination of individuals with disabilities.
Title IV zeros in on assistive technology.
Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
Guarantees children with disabilities to a free public education.
Schools are required to make proper changes to accommodate children with disabilities.
Last amended in 2004.
Section 508 of theRehabilitation Act
Any technology created by the Federal government has to be made accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Assistive Technology Act of 1998
AKA the “Tech Act.” Provides funds for establishments to help with
everything related to assistive technology, protection during the process of acquiring assistive technology, and help with financing assistive technology.

This device produces Braille. It is capable of producing 150
characters per second.
Physically Disabled
This device allows people who have trouble typing on a keyboard, to type on the
computer screen.
