We now began the actual Predictive part in our studies , without going further into Theories, which of

course is necessary, but we shall take slowly, digesting in parts and bits along with Practical astrology, to

make it more interesting and less boring or monotonous.

What is the ascendant in the above Birth Chart? Ascendant is also known as the rising Sign or the

Lagna.

Answer Ascendant is this Chart is Virgo. Always see the number written in the centre box above the

chart. Here it is Virgo because among the 12 signs of the Zodiac, No.6 is allotted to the Zodiac sign Virgo.

(Had the number been 5, the ascendant would have been Leo. Or had the number been 12, the
