The System

Evaporator

The water heater is fitted with a defrost function. In negative temperatures the water heater is automatically defrosted by opening a solenoid which sends the hot gas from the compressor directly to the evaporator, where the frost melts. In postive temperatures only the fan is used to defrost the heat exchanger.
