President’s Corner Hi North County Corve e Members,
Thank you to the past board members for the me and dedica on you put in.
We had a busy month that started with the Wheels of Freedom show in Rancho Bernardo. We had Ve es and members with non‐Corve es in a end‐ance. The weather was nice and the cars even nicer.
Then we had the recogni on luncheon for the past board and members at Stoneridge Country Club in Poway. Everyone had a great me.
I had the opportunity to spot a very rare species: the famed 1956 LT powered blue and white Corve e, with a white top that was actually up! I have never seen it in my me at North County, but it does EXIST, I have seen it now!
The members who par cipated in the first Rally with a C1 theme run by Dave Kitchen had a great me! They started out at North County Fair and ended up at Stoneridge. Thank you, Dave.
We ended July with the Main Street car show at Seaport Village. The weather was great, no rain!
We enjoyed a lunch with Dave, Kathleen, Mark and Ruth at the Harbor House Restaurant.
We are working with the Well church to have the parking lot lights on for the business mee ng to make sure members are safe when they leave. I will have an update for the next mee ng.
The Past President’s picnic is coming up on August 27th at our home. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
Proud to be a member of North County Corve e Club!

MAIN STREET AMERICA
JULY 31, 2016 Photos by Rick Toomey Narra ve by Renee Toomey
The first bit of news is…..we didn’t get rained on this year! We had a nice ocean breeze all day long.
Have to say the place allo ed to most of the Corve es at the show really had problems. First, Rick and I had to drive over the tree roots to get to our space. Not nice to hear them scraping the bo om of our Ve e! Others had to jockey their cars around to avoid the tree roots. They decided to place our cars on the grassy area closest to Seaport Village which meant a long trek to check raffle ckets and/or get food. Thank goodness it wasn’t as hot and humid as last year.
Gary and Sharon Wood took 1st place in their class! Congratula ons! Their beau ful Corve e graces the front page of this newsle er.
