On another note, it is with greatsadness that I must announce thatAlexander, our long-time LifeEnrichment Assistant, is leaving us forgraduate school. Alexander is as sad aswe are to depart, but he must pursuehis future. I will truly miss him. I am soproud of him and excited for his future.He is an amazing person and I can’twait to see what his future holds.Alexander’s last day will be on July29th. Be sure to stop by our office andcongratulate him on his success! Goodluck, Alexander!

As August rolls around thecorner, the time has once againcome for us to take time andappreciate our seniors, those whohave come before us and remain topass on their wisdom. The city ofSouthfield will be hosting SeniorAppreciation Week Aug. 22-26. Wehave so many great festivitiesplanned for you all. Please be sureto check the monthly calendar formore details regarding a week fullof fun!
We here at American HouseSouthfield will be throwing our ownfestivities as well, so come on downand celebrate seniors!

9 a.m.-4 p.m. and on Fridays 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. Call (248) 880-9130.Calling at least three days in advance is advised.
• American House provides free transportation to any destination within a10-mile radius of our property. The bus driver will call you back toconfirm all requests for transportation.
• Unconfirmed requests may not be honored. Medical and businessappointments will be scheduled first.
• No doctors’ appointments after 2 p.m.• Please utilize scheduled shopping trips whenever possible.• You may share a ride to the same destination with other residents. Riders
will be given the van driver’s phone number to call when ready to return.• Van has a wheelchair lift.
