The AVAYA IP Phones J169 and J179 are specifically designed for daily phone calls from professi-onals and frequent phone users such as marketing, sales, or call center agents who need the full range of telephony, productivity, and collaboration features.
The J-Series IP phones flexibly adapt to different business needs and have softkeys to easily control key telephony features.
The cost-effective and high-performance AVAYA system phones feature a grayscale display (J169) or color display (J179), four softkeys, HD audio quality, a built-in Gigabit Ethernet interface, headset connectivity, and optional up to connect three button modules with 24 keys each. The J169 IP Pho-ne and J179 IP Phone use the company‘s IP network to provide high-quality voice communications between corporate headquarters, other corporate offices or home offices. Closely integrated into the AVAYA Aura Communication Manager and AVAYA IP Office communications platforms, the IP phones streamline communications through a flexible architecture that leverages existing infrastructure and adapts to changing business needs.
In addition, the AVAYA IP Phone J179 also enables the connection of the optional J100 Wireless Module for WiFi connectivity and the connection of Bluetooth headsets.

The J129 IP Phone is a one line phone that can support two concurrent calls. Easy to use, the J129 has 3 context-sensitive soft keys and shows display prompts that enables the user to quickly access and confidently use features including transferring or forwarding calls, placing or retrieving calls on hold, initiating an ad-hoc conference call, viewing the recent call history, dialing a number from the Directory or Recent Call History, accessing voicemail, using park/unpark functionality and more.
The full duplex speakerphone enables for hands-free conversations. The dual 10/100 Ethernet ports enable easier building cabling since a co-located PC gains access to the LAN through the J129 IP Phone. The J129 supports Power over Ethernet as a power efficient Class 1 device, again eliminating cabling, and which also enables the phones to work through power outages if the
wiring closet is backed up with a UPS system.
