The TechNexion Difference
Open Source Software
Open Hardware
Plug and Play Development Kits
Faster Time-to-market Through Open DesignSystem on Modules are designed to speed up and reduce the cost of development for embedded devices. But these benets are only possible if you have easy access to the source code, design guides, and development start kits essential for building your device.
All TechNexion SoMs come with open source code and binary images that are easily accessible, not hidden behind sign up pages or passwords.
If you decide to create your own carrier board, it is crucial to be able to learn about your SoM board’s layout as soon as possible. TechNexion makes that possible with frictionless access to our carrier boards’ specications, design guides, and schematics.
Finding the right tools and software to develop and test your solution can take time, or sometimes not even be available. TechNexion SoMs come pre-loaded with plug and play working software including all the necessary tools to validate and develop your application’s features and functions.
Designers often face countless complex challenges that can add time and cost to an already tight development schedule. In particular, RF designs can encounter several critical issues such as reduced antenna eciency, high EMI, high power consumption, or failed government certications. When any of these problems occur, your development schedule will be at risk. With TechNexion, developers can take advantage of a wide range of System on Modules that come fully tested, comply with the essential requirements and are certied by the most critical government agencies, including European Union (CE, ETSI), United States (FCC), Canada (IC), Australia/New Zealand (RCM) and Japan (TELEC).

AXON SeriesThe AXON System on Module series is a compact SoM with the enhanced exibility of a programmable I/O fabric which can be used to implement customized digital logic and interfaces. This makes it ideal for applications such as industrial automation, drones, and robotics. Based on NXP’s i.MX6 and i.MX8M Mini application processors, with options for single, dual, and quad-core versions, these modules have the performance and scalability for the most demanding applications.
Embedded devices are often the core of large-scale industrial, medical and commercial systems with rigorous certication requirements and costs – they need to operate reliably for many years. TechNexion makes that possible in many ways:
Scalability – For every product in a product series, we use the same form factor and pinout, enabling you to upgrade to a more powerful CPU easy. Longevity – All our products have a guaranteed 12-year lifetime.Component strategy – All our components are sourced only from strategic partners who support our product roadmap guarantees and quality standards.

Product Longevity through Support and Scalability
ProductionTechNexion has its own manufacturing facilities with factory and design teams working together, communicating and sharing expertise in a way not possible when they were in separate businesses with separate priorities. It means that at each stage, from concept to mass production, manufacturing can go smoother and faster, the unique aspects of your design can be realized more cost-eec-tively, and production line capacity planned for with better timing. It also means you will not fall victim to the production scheduling priorities of contract manufacturers and the larger orders that might push you down the queue.

With the AXON series, you have a single hardware platform, where the multimedia and compute power of the NXP i.MX SoC is combined with the extensibility of the AXON Fabric. Out of the box, AXON operates as a normal SoM, but by engaging with the expertise of TechNexion’s team, additional functions including customized logic and IP can be added specically for your requirements. This makes it ideal for any applications requiring specialized control such as automation, robotics, and drones.
