Design Brief

• I am going to design a promotion for KangSeungYoon, singer who is my client. He is popular as a actor but he wants to be more success as a singer. I will create a promotion can tell who is KangSeungYoon, include information about his album, red-toned design and people who interested in music can approach easily with reasonable price. I will make sure my product meet specification.

Specification

• In this product I am going to use Photoshop CS4, the reason for this choice is because I am available to use this software affectively than any other softwares.

• The time will be managed and the whole project including design cycle, investigation, design, plan, create and evaluation should be available to finish in provided time.

• The size must be big enough for the letterings, image and information to fit and recognized.

• The promotion must be aesthetic, catchy, simple and red-toned.

• For this promotion, random people who come to see the promotion and interested in music.

• The advertisement must be promote “KangSeungYoon” as a singer and make people to interest in him.

• The purpose of this promotion is to make “KangSeungYoon,” my client be recognized as a singer than actor.

• I already researched many different softwares I can use to make a promotion and found out photoshop is the best one to use.

• Pros:

• Free to put many different type of information (video, photo and article etc.)

• A b l e t o u p d a t e n e w informations easily.

• Able to check how many people has came to the website by counter widget.

• Cons:

• Not catchy color and design.

• People who doesn’t know about “KangSeungYoon” will not visit the website.

• Hard to keep managing the website.

• Not easy for the beginners to learn creating website.

Summary Of Designs

• Design 1: Website can includes various type of informations such as videos, photos or articles. Also can be used for more than just his album and update new informations. Easy to check how many people visited this website by widget. However, the color and design is not catchy. Who doesn’t know about my client will never visit this site. Managing the website will require manpower and money. This doesn’t my client’s specification.

• Design 2: This design is also free to put many different type of informations. Able to take comments from visitors and people can easily find information about KangSeungYoon by just researching his name. However, the color is unclear and too soft. Money required to maintaining and not easy for beginners to create website.

• Design 3: Poster able to give big impact. I used strong red toned color, clear short catchy sentence information. People can easily approach this type of promotion. Also the design is simple and trendy. But not much information can be put in. Poster is one way to create affective promotion cheaper, in reasonable costs besides other types. This is using computer software and able to change the design fast and easy.

Summary Of Designs

• Design 4: This brochure has trendy design and also cheaper than other promotion. Can includes more information than just an album promotion. People can keep the brochure if they wants. However it is not very attractive, used unclear color and too much information. People will not read if they don’t know or not interested about KangSeungYoon, my client.

• Design 5: Video type promotion able to promote my client as a singer affectively by using affects and sounds. It is pretty interesting. However this story board doesn’t includes information about his album. Hard to make good video clip for beginners.

• Design 6: This story board can cause curiosity about my client. This includes basic information about my client. Telling about who is KangSeungYoon effectively. However this doesn’t include information about his album. Expensive to broadcast and buy making software. The design includes to much letterings. People who doesn’t have internet or TV access will not able to see.

Size The size will be A3 or bigger. Must be big enough to put letterings, image and information.

Durability The design is saved as a computer file, it will be lasts forever unless delete it.
