Why 3D-models?

– Tender phase

o - time consuming and expensive for the tenderers

o + better understanding of the project – risk minimizing/better

price

– After contracting

o Risk (overview of methods and work procedures)

o Time / logistics

o Amounts (handling of claims/extra works)

o Executing (machine controlling, control measurements, spoil

areas)

o As built (documentation of amounts etc. for maintenance)

Lessons learned

- Errors acceptable, but not to repeated to often!!

• Norms for 250 kph (e.g. transition zones)

• Road traffic (regulations) during construction works

• As-is existing constructions/installations/registrations

• Ground water not as predicted

• Drainage and fees

• 3. part works (utility replacements)

• Validation of detailed design (also CSM in general)

• NLCR-organization proactive, framework often reactive

• Extended time schedule (e.g. construction sites)

Total budget development

- All construction works contracted
