• OSAKO is the student union of Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Oulu UAS)

• OSAKO represents all the students of Oulu UAS

• OSAKO is prescribed by Finnish law

• We are politically independent (e.g. from political parties)

• OSAKO offers a possibility to have influence and take part in student activities, like making an initiative, voting and being a candidate for the elections of the students’ body of representatives etc.

• Take part to cultural and international events!• Students can also borrow sleaping bags, games and wintersport

equipment from OSAKO´s office.• All the students can take part in developing education by

giving feedback of the studies and student services • Students can join Training programme develoment

groups (ko-tiimi) and help Oulu UAS to give better education

How to get the student card?

• Go to http://www.osakoweb.fi/join. To sign in you need your student number (ASIO-number). Follow the instructions carefully!

• Provide a digital photo of your face.

• The membership fee is (22 € for the academic year, 12 for the Autumn semester) NB! Pay also the fee 5 € for the card.

• You can pick up your student cards in approximately two weeks after the ordering. You will receive an email to the school's email when the card is ready.

• Payment in cash is possible at the following service points of the branch unions:- School of Business and Information Management- School of Music, Dance and Media- School of Engineering- Raahe School of Engineering and Business

Club KulttuRally

• arranges events in the field of art & culture, international sauna evenings, gatherings and trips for and with students at Oulu UAS

• is run by a team of students and the student union’s representatives and employees

• aims at promoting the students’ own activities with regard to art, culture and international relations (e.g., own art group & hobbies, exchange experiences, getting to know & understand different cultures etc.)

• snacks and drinks in the meetings
