CANTEEN NEWS

PLEASE NOTE: There will be NO canteen in Week 1 of Term 3.

Canteen will re-commence in Week 2.

P & C NEWS Beef in the Vines The P&C will be operating a BBQ at Beef in the Vines, which will be held at Cassegrain Vineyard on Sunday

July 15. This is a great local event that will showcase 20 of the Best BBQ teams in the country. Come along

and support the event, or if you are able to, let us know if you can help on the BBQ on the day.

Grown and Gathered Markets We will once again be supporting the local Grown and Gathered Markets by taking over the BBQ at the next

markets to be held on Sunday August 5. Come along and support the P&C and the local Pappinbarra

Progress Association by visiting the markets and buying something tasty from the BBQ. We will have a P&C

stall and we are encouraging all BPS families and students to also consider having a stall on the day. The

markets are offering us a discount by charging only $5 for any stall on the day that is run by a BPS

student. If you would like more information about running a stall, please contact us.

Canteen After today’s successful Burger Meal Deal, our next canteen event will be the Athletics Carnival. The

canteen will be open for baked treats at recess and will offer a sausage sizzle for lunch. Normal drinks will

also be available. If you can help on the day we would love to see you in the canteen. We will also be asking

for donations of baked goods and fruit (oranges/mandarins).

We are currently planning our roster for next term and would love to see you in the canteen. If you are

able to go on the roster for 1 day in Term 3 (Tuesdays from 9am to 1pm), please contact us via the details

provided below.

BOOSH Information relating to BOOSH fee increase and changes to CCS funding were sent home to families this

week.

FLAGPOLE You may notice a little construction work happening on the school flagpoles this week.

A member of our student parliament wrote to us earlier this year requesting that we look into the heights

of the Australian and Indigenous flagpoles on our school grounds and consider making them the same

height. We love when our students make requests so we did our research and today we will be increasing

the height of one of the flagpoles. Thank You to Bryony Anderson and Leanne Parker for helping to make

this happen.

CONTACT DETAILS You can contact the P&C via email at [email protected] or via our Facebook page.

Have you LIKED our Facebook page yet? We try to keep it updated with all the events that are happening

around the school and community. Please remember that the page is run by volunteer parents, just like you.

We try to answer your questions as quickly and as thoroughly as possible but sometimes we are getting kids

ready for school just like you and as a P&C page, we aren’t always able to answer all school related

questions.
