Before too long June 2013 will be upon us and you know what that means, REUNION TIME! We are very excited about this new format we are unveiling f or our upcoming reunion. In 2003, at the Las Vegas Reunion, the Reunion Committee discussed the ideas of a new format for our Family Reunion. Since then the Reunion Planning Committee has been working diligently trying to come up with ways to keep our ideals going. We have made some changes that would even out the responsibility among 6 Family Regional Groups. Each region will be respons ible for collecting dues, keeping Family members informed and coordinating Regional Family Events. But planning is not enough; Family participation is crucial if we’re going to make this Reunion a success. You can do your part by assisting the Reunion Planning Committee in the following way. o Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 14 th through June 16 th 2013, for this historical event. o Participate in Family Regional Fundraising Events. o Spread the word to other Family Members about the Reunion and Our Family Sites. o Get Involved. Hello Family-

I hope this newsletter finds you in good health and good spirits!

Before too long June 2013 will be upon us and you know what

that means, REUNION TIME! We are very excited about this new

format we are unveiling for our upcoming reunion. In 2003, at

the Las Vegas Reunion, the Reunion Committee discussed the

ideas of a new format for our Family Reunion. Since then the

Reunion Planning Committee has been working diligently trying

to come up with ways to keep our ideals going. We have made

The Bennett Family Reunion Planning Committee is pleased to

New Reunion Format

We are excited about the new format we are starting for

2013. In order to even out the responsibility and work load

associated with producing an event of such magnitude, we

have created a Bennett Family Reunion Planning Committee,

which consist of Eight Executive Officers. They will be

responsible for the following tasks, scheduling committee

meetings, overseeing reunion plans, recruiting volunteers for

sub-committees, handling reunion financials, mailing

correspondences and motivating family members to get

involved.

In addition to the Executive Officers there is also Six Family

Regional Group. Each Region consists of Two Regional

Delegate’s and One Honorary Chair. They will be responsible

for implementing the instructions of the Executive Planning

Committee, holding family meetings/ gatherings, passing oninformation and updates, organizing fundraisers, collecting

dues, volunteering on sub-committees and notify the

Executive Planning Committee of any problems or concerns of 

the family.

Reunion Planning Committee, State Delegates and Honorary

The first order of business is finding a location. The Planning

Committee has collected information on the following

potential Host Cities: Baton Rouge, Houston, San Antonio and

Tulsa. We have provided a brief breakdown of each city’s

price points along with accessibility, climate conditions and

tourist information.

The Planning Committee needs your selection by December10

th, 2011 so that we can notify family members as soon as

possible on the location of the Family Reunion. You can

Why Family Is Important

Family is a word that everyone is familiar with. Without

family, who would we be today? But do we really know wit means? A Family is like a circle; there is no beginning and

end. It just keeps on going from one generation to the next.

Family is important. Family is not just limited to only

ancestors, but also the ones brought into our families

marriage. Family teaches us love... encouragemen

understanding... hope... comfort... advice... values... mora

ideals... and best of all, our faith. We have been taught

learn from our mistakes. We have been taught to enjoy

people we know and appreciate the beauty of their charact

families. But how often do we take the time out to s

Family Dues are the following:

Adults (ages 13-79) - $100.00

Children (age 4-12) - $50.00

Infants and Senior Citizen – FreeInfants = 0-3 years & Senior Citizens = 80 years and up

For those of us who have tight budgets or several family

members to pay for. You can also pay by installments. Below is

a breakdown of the installment payment plan.
