November 18, 2014 Subject: Notice to Beretta Customers Dear Valued Customer, We have recently discovered an error with a parts supplier on the ARX100. During development of the ARX100 there were several iterations of the barrel extension. Through some internal inspections we have discovered that a shipment of the barrel extensions we have received at Beretta USA was mixed with improved and unimproved parts. We believe that some of the unimproved barrel extensions may have made it onto a very small number of the ARX100’s that we have sold out to the market. These extensions pose a safety concern when fired with high pressure ammunition, and therefore we urge you to inspect your inventory and verify that none of the unimproved barrel extensions are on the rifles in your inventory. Please reference the attached presentation for inspection information. Any product which needs to be brought back to Beretta USA for inspection will not be returned for credit to your account. We will process these guns and ship them back to you as quickly as possible. Beretta USA encourages you to reach out to your sales representative to help answer any questions that you might have concerning this Product Safety Notice. For any consumers who have purchased this product from your retail establishment, please send them to the following website for information concerning the inspection of their rifle: www.berettasupport.com. We apologize for this inconvenience. Beretta USA's plan is to inspect your existing inventory, and determine if any action is necessary. Our goal is to make sure that we do not disrupt service to your existing customers and to perform this operation in an expeditious manner. We greatly value your business and we are standing by to make this process as smooth as possible to reduce the burden on you. Respectfully, Beretta USA Corp. HAZARD DESCRIPTION: During the ARX100’s extensive development testing, design improvements were made to the barrel extension. Due to an error in parts supply, there is a risk that some un-improved barrel extensions were assembled on to a very small number of rifles. Because of this risk, we are asking all ARX100 owners to check their ARX100 to make sure that it meets the required design specification. If the barrel extension is not replaced the barrel lugs might break, which could pose a safety hazard to the person firing the rifle. We request that you inspect and verify that you have the correct barrel extension as soon as possible.

STEP 2 - Ensure that there is an undercut milled into the interior of the barrel extension directly behind the barrel extension lugs. (See Yellow Highlighted area in FIGURE 2)

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. If your barrel has the incorrect extension please contact Beretta Customer Service immediately or go to www.berettasupport.com/arx100 to print a shipping label, in order to send your barrel back to Beretta USA, and we will replace the part at no cost to you.
