PTNB bidding process


XP P07-150 trial : « PPBIM Project »from standard to Dictionary (and more…)

– PTNB (Plan for the digital transition in the building industry) : a political will to improve the building/construction industry

– One of the actions of this plan : trials based on XP P07-150• Creation of a dictionary of properties according to XP P07-150

(2000 properties)• Creation of generic objects using the properties (300 objects)• Bidding process designated Mediaconstruct (18th April)• Project will take around 3 years


Mediaconstruct PPBIM Project


PPBIM Project Mediaconstruct tasks: part 1 – 6 months

– Creation of 300 properties (several industry sectors) and 30 generic objects

– Use of a PPBIM context in bSDD as the tool for the French PPBIM dictionary

– Test of the bSDD functionalities

– Test of the XP P07-150 workflows for managing :• properties and property sets• people (i.e. experts in charge of validation of properties)

– Properties will be added manually ant the XP P07-150 workflows will be tested manually

– Writing of the specifications for the final tool to operate the dictionary (including the workflow layer)


PPBIM Project part 1 – working groups

• 10 working groups on transverse contexts– Trade, logistics, thermal, acoustic, IFC, classifications, environmental…

• 10 working groups on sectorial contexts– Envelop, electricity, plumbing….

• 5 working groups on generic objects

• 30 meetings


PPBIM project part 1 – bSDD use

– Check the bSDD compliance with XP P07-150 for a property definition

– Check the bSDD browsing capabilities as needed by the project steering committee

– Check the bSDD CMT capabilities : user’s rights to add, delete and edit

– Check the bSDD relationships and capabilities to manage groups of properties

– Properties will be added manually ant the XP P07-150 workflows will be tested manually.
