  • HOME INFORMATION ABOUT BINARY LOGIC Binary logic is much the same as general logic, except it works on 1s and 0s. Given one or more binary inputs a logic output will result. It is common practice to consider binary 1 to be True and binary 0 to be False There are only a few simple logic operations but they do lead to incredibly complex devices such as a CPU.

  • HOME BINARY LOGIC 1 a) Invert or NOT operation This operation produces an output that is opposite to the input i.e. if the input is 1 ( LOGIC FALSE) then the output is 0 (LOGIC FALSE). If the input is 0 (LOGIC FALSE) then the output is 1 (LOGIC TRUE) The shorthand way of writing this is Q=NOT A where A is the input and Q is the output.
  • Slide 12
  • HOME BINARY LOGIC 2 b) The AND operation This operation acts upon at least two inputs, say A, B to produce a single output Q In English, the rule is If both A and B are True then the output is also True, otherwise it is False The shorthand for this is Q = A NAD B

  • HOME GRAPHIC Graphic on a screen are made up of this blocks called pixels. The more pixels on the screen, the higher the resolutions, the more memory is needed to store the graphic

  • HOME BITMAPS IMAGES Bitmaps images are widely used on digital cameras, smartphones and online. Common bitmap images file types include JPGE, GIF and PNG. Bitmaps are also know are pixel maps or raster graphic

  • HOME COLOURS AND AVAILABLE 3 The colour depth of on images is measured in bits. The numbers of bits indicates how many colours are ouacilable for each pixel.
