The IT Chicken and Egg Problem

    • If you are not used to computers it can be difficult to get started in digital photography

    • We will do our best to help to explain

    – How to get a photo off your camera and onto a PC

    – How to get it off a PC and onto a memory stick

    – Put a photo on Facebook or Flickr

    – How to set up an e-mail account and a Flickr account

    • Don’t be afraid to ask for help

    – It can be difficult to show someone if they don’t have a laptop with them

    – We’ll help as much as we can

    – But remember it’s a photography club we can’t solve all IT problems

    • A family member who can use a PC and can be at your PC might be even more helpful

  • Blarney Photography Club

    Tripod

    • If you want to take great photographs it’s an essential item

    • It gives you the best control of light and the sharpest photographs

    • Cheap Tripods are usually not very good – They wear out quickly and are not very steady

    • It’s worth paying a little bit extra for something sturdy that would last you a lifetime

    • Spending money is up to you. There is no limit to what you can spend on Photography
