HYDRAULIC OVERRIDE LOCK

In the event that the BMR Column Lift will not lower, you will need todisengage both of the Hydraulic Override Locks. There is one located at thetop of each Column.

To disengage, you must pull down on the Coil Nut and twist until it locksinto place. To re-engage you must twist the Coil Nut and release. It will springback into the original Locked position. Be sure to re-engage the OverrideLocks before moving the vehicle.

SOLENOID CHECK

To check the Solenoids for power, hold a screwdriver approximately 1/4from the top nut of the Solenoid andenergize the unit. If the Solenoid isgood, it will draw the screwdriver to thenut through a magnetic force.

To check the valve itself, remove the Valve Coil from theValve Cartridge. Using a paper clip, push on the Plunger inside theValve Cartridge. It should movefreely approximately 1/8.

Inspect O-Ring and wash theCartridge in solvent to remove anyforeign substances inside theCartridge. If Plunger still does notmove freely (approx. 1/8), thenreplace the Valve Cartridge.

To check the Motor Solenoidfor power, place a 12 volt test lampon the Solenoid Battery Terminal.
