Boden started out as a small church village.
The church was built in 1827
The first real mention of it as a village is in 1539 in a taxform.
Boden didn’t get official town privileges until 1919.
History
Boden is a military town.During the second world war
Boden played a big role in Sweden’s history. It:
Has 5 large fortresses. Was the main defense line towards
the russians. Held parts of Swedens gold reserve. Was the main training place for
Swedens army, more than 13% of the army was stationed there.

Narvik – Boden398 kilometers long.+46 kilometers to Luleå for processing.

Some informations about the school
The school initiate 1986, and the name was Björknässkolan, but they changs the name 2007 to Björknäsgymnasiet.
We have 13 programs in the school whit 60 persons in every program from the first to the last year.
Every school day we have huge good lunch, free for the students, and a cafeteria there we can by candys or some coffey.
We have a library, there can we take it easy, read a book or something els.
Our program offer directions to restaurant and food service.
We have a own restaurant ”Viljan” there we jobb practical whit cooking and serve, and we planad menu to the restaurant.
And the best of all we have the best teaters in the world!!!
But beside the education we have lesions lika matt, swedish and english..
