Of the museum’s approximately 350 aircraft, one recent addition may be of special interest to BLN-R members: the first 777 (WA001). WA001, which rolled out in 1994, first served as a Boeing test aircraft almost 25 years ago and then flew more than 20,000 flights and almost 50,000 hours with Cathay Pacific. The museum will host a special WA001 program, featur- ing retired senior executives from Boeing and airlines. Starting at 9 a.m., event participants can view the museum displays and tour WA001. A no-host lunch will be available in the cafeteria. Following, an informal program featuring key retired Boeing executives and customer and supplier members will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. A celebration reception will commence at 5 p.m., with a taco bar and no-host beverage bar. Note: Participants must make their own travel arrangements.
