As such, the DOTC is inviting interested bidders to participate in the OPEN and TRANSPARENT bidding process for the P96.8M ROXAS CITY, CAPIZ AND PANGLAO, BOHOL AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS. P96.8 MILLION BOHOL AND ROXAS CITY AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS The need to develop a new international airport in Panglao, Bohol is imperative to support the increasing trade and tourism in the region. As popular destinations like Chocolate Hills and where the famous Tarsier can be found, a new airport will help attract more local and international tourists to visit the province. In line with this, the DOTC is bidding out the preparatory works for the new Panglao, Bohol airport development project. The project entails the following: Clearing and grubbing (A=216.26has.) Construction of barbed wire and frangible fence (L=10,638m.). Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures using non-discretionary pass/fail criterion as specified in the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act 9184 (RA 9184), otherwise known as the “Government Procurement Reform Act”. Bidding is restricted to Filipino citizen/sole proprietorships, partnerships, or organizations with at least seventy-five percent (75%) interest or outstanding capital stock belonging to citizens of the Philippines. Interested bidders may obtain further information from the DOTC and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Bid Documents/Forms will be made available at Unit 153, The Columbia Tower Bldg., Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong City, upon payment of a non-refundable amount of each of the corresponding projects to the DOTC Cashier. It may also be downloaded free of charge from the website of the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS) and at the DOTC website at, www.dotc.gov.ph provided that the bidders shall pay the fee for the Bidding Documents not later than the submission of bids. The pre-bid conference is open to all interested parties. All bids must be accompanied by the bid security in any of the acceptable forms and in the amount stated in ITB Clause 18. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address as stated above. Late bids shall not be accepted. The DOTC reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and accept the offer most advantageous to the Government. The DOTC assumes no responsibility whatsoever to compensate or indemnify bidders for any expenses incurred in the preparation of the bid.
