Lost Property
We still have a large amount of clothing not
labelled in the office. Please put your child’s name
on every item that is brought to school.
Zoo Snooz
Be at Booral School by 8.45am on Monday 5th
September. We should return approximately 4.00-
4.30pm on Tuesday 6th September (depending on
departure time, traffic etc). Up to date return
travel information will be posted on Booral Public
School’s Facebook page.
BCS Showcase Day
On Wednesday 14th September Year 6 students,
attending Bulahdelah Central School for high school
in 2017, have a facility Showcase Day at
Tea Gardens Public School. This is a great
opportunity for students to get a taste of what high
school is like at Bulahdelah Central School. Further
information will follow closer to the day.
Important Information
Going on holidays during the school term?
If you are planning to go on holidays during the
school term you must complete an application for
extended leave.
These forms can be obtained from the School
Office.
Absences Please ensure students bring a note in
to explain absences on the day they return.
Alternatively you can call the School Office or send
an email to the school .

Next Meeting is Tuesday 6th September 5.30pm,
we will have a session on helping your child with
maths homework. If you want to contact us with
the specific area you want help with, please call Mr
Pearson by Monday 5th September.

Booral Bites News.
From Monday, yummy homemade banana bread.
$1.20 per slice (toasted and buttered), available
for recess and lunch.
A big thank you to Suzanne Strauss who has made the banana bread for us and used a healthier recipe with no
refined sugar and no saturated fats.

News from the SRC…….
RSPCA Fundraiser Day/ End of Term Rewards Day
In addition to Stewart House, the SRC at the
commencement of the year chose the RSPCA to be their
second charity for this year. To raise our donation, the
SRC have planned the following:
Animal Photo Competition.
Entry cost : Gold Coin
Rules: Students must take a photo of an animal (it can be a
pet, in the wild or in a zoo or sanctuary). It must be the
student’s own work.
SRC members are eligible to enter.
The photo must be original- not copied from a magazine,
book or the internet. The photo must be printed off.
Maximum size is A4.
Entries must be accompanied by a short neatly written or
typed description of the photographer’s name, the device
used to take the photo, and information on where and when
the photo was taken. The quality of your description
may be taken into account when judging the winner.
Year 3 and Year 4 students who are going to Zoo Snooz
may be able to capture a great shot there!
A winner will be announced for each stage- ES1, S1,
S2,S3.
Closing date for entries is 2.00 pm Wednesday 21st
September. Prize winning photographer Ms Parsonage
will be the judge.
End of Term Rewards Day- 23rd September
Advanced Notice : Students eligible for Rewards Day
can come dressed as an animal and are asked to bring a
gold coin donation. It might be as simple as adding
some whiskers and a tail! Use your imagination, but you
will need to be able to still move freely to participate
in games and activities. The SRC members are planning
six fun activities based on an animal theme. Students
will rotate in groups to complete each of the activities.
