What You’ll Learn During This Workshop
■ How to increase your productivity exponentially
■ How to get more done in less time■ How I’ve managed to build
successful companies working part-time hours
Why Learn From Me?
I am Leonie Dawson● Australian Business Woman of the Year
finalist● Ausmumpreneur of the Year finalist● Owner of three successful companies● Homeschooler
How to get the most out of this workshop...
■ Multi-tasking is a fallacy■ Solo focus■ Take notes on pen and paper■ Give yourself actionables with a
deadline■ DO SOMETHING WITH THE
INFORMATION IN THIS.
1.
Set your goals. Keep them front of mind.
KNOW YOUR GOALS
■ Use your workbook!■ Keep your business goals front of
mind.■ Have a big goal (or three) that you
have for that goal that you know off by heart.
■ Have a big WHY: it will keep you going when things get tough (because they will!)
2.
Know what you need to do to achieve your goal
KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
■ Braindump EVERYTHING in your head out. Pen and paper works best for me. You can add into a digital list later if you need to.
DELETEThis is the most important one of all, and needs to be undertaken FIRST.● Does the task REALLY need to be done? ● Does it create profit? ● Does it fit with your business goals?● Is it mission critical?● If not… DELETE.
RELATED: Having work boundaries. Saying NO in order to stay focussed on your Hedgehog Concept.(See: Boundaries Bootcamp + Jim Collins’ “Good To Great”
KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:BUT DON’T DO IT ALL
KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:BUT DON’T DO IT ALL
AUTOMATECan you use software to automatically (or semi-automatically) complete the task?Examples:● Shopping cart provider (i.e. e-junkie or Infusionsoft) to
automagically deliver e-products or provide info about products
● Zapier● Use pre-existing reporting● Social media scheduler (i.e. Meet Edgar)● Calendar scheduler● Have people contact you using forms with required
information
SYSTEMATEHave written process of how to complete tasks so that you create standard service, it is faster to execute + you can easily delegate.Examples:● Canned responses in email● FAQs on Contact Us page● Every time a question comes up, pre-answer it
on your website + add to your FAQs as well● Treating yourself like a VA if you don’t have
one
Recommended Course: Standard Operating Procedures
KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:BUT DON’T DO IT ALL
KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:BUT DON’T DO IT ALL
DELEGATE
The very last option… don’t delegate things that can be deleted or automated! It costs MONEY to delegate - so make sure those tasks are absolutely critical to your business.● Someone who doesn’t require a learning curve● VA’s which charge in smaller blocks of time● Know how long things take so you can
measure it’s on target!
Recommended Course: “Six Figure Team System”
ONCE YOU’VE KILLED OFF, AUTOMATED OR DELEGATED TASKS...
■ Prioritise (highlighter)■ Add deadlines for each task■ Digitise if you need to■ Know exactly what you need to do
next.
“You have to slow down to speed up.”
■ Create a system where you capture to do’s as they come up. i.e. Notes on Phone or in your journal with a regular weekly calendar task to capture them.
■ If you find yourself getting overwhelmed, go back through the same process of braindump, delete, systemate, automate, delegate + prioritise.
■ If you still don’t know what to prioritise, ask an accountability buddy if you can brainstorm it with them - it will become clear.
3.Kill off all distractions
KILL OFF DISTRACTIONS
DO NOT DISTURB ZONE
If you’ve got kids, get yourself time when you are not interrupted. I used to go sit up a tree in the park with my laptop to get away from mine for an hour or two!
● Lock the door or escape to a cafe.● Turn off your phone.● Get rid of anything that stops you from mono-focussing.
KILL OFF DISTRACTIONS
NO INTERNET
Stop yourself from checking Facebook constantly by blocking internet (or parts of the internet) from your computer.
● Self Control app (Mac)● Cold Turkey app (Windows)● Going to a place that doesn’t have wi-fi!
Declutter for focus
If you find yourself distracted or lacking focus
- check your work place. Does it need decluttering or
organising?
Sometimes spending 5 minutes decluttering
makes the rest of the hour more productive.
DO NOT USE DECLUTTERING AS A
DISTRACTION HOWEVER.
4.
Create a prioritised to do list for each work session
DAILY TO DO LIST
■ Prioritise your top 3 with a highlighter and number their order
■ Find your sweet spot of the length of your list. I find I need a longer list to do more, even if I don’t get through it. A short list bores me. A long list may overwhelm you or bore you - self-awareness is key!
5.
Use your Four Tendencies strengths.
Obligers
Meet outer expectations, but struggle to meet expectations they impose on themselves.
FOUR TYPES OF PEOPLE
Upholders
Respond readily to outer and inner expectations.
Questioners
Question all expectations; they’ll meet an expectation if they think it makes sense--essentially, they make all expectations into inner expectations.
Rebels
Resist all expectations, outer and inner alike.
Obligers
Outer accountability (i.e. mastermind, buddy or coach)
HOW TO WORK YOUR TENDENCY
Upholders
Set clear goals, and redirect if things don’t go to plan.
Questioners
Set deadlines or limitations around researching options.
Rebels
Remind yourself of your big why + your decision to pursue the goal.

6.Wild Donkey Technique
Wild Donkey Technique
Set projects with short, sharp deadlines. Pour everything you have into it until it’s done + out.Example: DYB was created in 2 months, 3000 words a day.

7.
Do NOT spend your time second-guessing yourself.
STOP WASTING YOUR TIME SECOND-GUESSING
It’s not your job to second-guess yourself. Your job is to create, share + build your business.Anything else is an ineffective use of your time.
8.
Take time off.
● Have boundaries● Have “no work times” each day● Practice Sabbath/take a weekend● Have hobbies outside of business● Take holidays
Get… a… fucking… life.
WANT TO DO MORE?
ROUNDING IT UP…
