Formed Rising Clamp

This mechanism, made of platedsteel with high strength steelscrew, allows for the conductorto be clamped securely using ahigh contact force. The productincorporates an integratedprotection against self-looseningwhereby, as the screw istightened the upper overlapsprings up and locks on to theupper screw thread. Movement,or variation in the conductor,either due to environmentalvibrations or changes intemperature, are accommodatedby the high contact force, or theelasticity in the formed clampmechanism.

Les vis, lorsqu’elles nesont pas serrées, sont soitcaptives et ne peuvent pas êtreretirées de la borne, soit ellesrestent en dessous de la surfacede l’enveloppe isolante de laborne de jonction, prévenant ainsitout contact direct.

Une telle situation rendraindispensable l’utilisationd’éléments avec des parties enplastique résistantes á destempératures élevées,exactement comme ceux qu’IMOest déjà capable d’offrir.

Questo meccanismo, è realizzatoin acciaio ad alta resistenzameccanica, così come la relativavite di fissaggio. Tale sistemaconsente di ottenere un sicurobloccaggio dei conduttori,garantendo l’applicazione diun’elevata forza di contatto. Ilprodotto integra altresì, unefficacissimo sistema diprotezione contro l’allentamentodella vite. Tale caratteristica èproprio offerta dalla forma e dalmateriale con cui quest’elementoè realizzato. Possiamo pertantoaffermare che ad ogni tipo dimovimento o assestamento delconduttore, cambio di temperaturao vibrazioni presenti sulla scheda,il sistema risponde assicurandosempre una costante forza dicontatto, ottenuta unicamente dalsistema a gabbia elastica inacciaio.

Superficie di contatto

L’efficacia e l’alta forza diserraggio del sistema sopramenzionato, affiancata da unabarra di corrente che garantisceun’ampia superficie di contatto sututto il conduttore, consente diridurre veramente al minimo laresistenza elettrica dellaconnessione. Questo assicura lapossibilità di poter utilizzare iprodotti anche in aree moltoesposte a composti inquinanti ecorrosivi. In ogni caso lasuperficie di contatto sarà sempreperfettamente efficiente. Possiamoaggiungere infine che laparticolare forma della superficiedi contatto, unita all’alta forza diserraggio determinano ancheun’elevata forza di ritenzione delcavo, preservandone nel tempol’efficacia, anche nel caso di cavisoggetti a particolari forze ditrazione.

Inserti d’acciaio

Vogliamo ancora una volta porrel’accento, sul com’è importantepoter avere elementi capaci diessere connessi o disconnessimolte volte durante il propriociclo d’utilizzo. E’ proprio per talemotivo, che il progetto si èispirato a sistemi checomprendono materiali comel’acciaio, che offra assieme adalte rigidità e resistenza, ancheun’elevata elasticità quandorichiesta. Tale criterio ha pertantoescluso l’impiego di altri materialipure validi, ma non adatti alloscopo come ad esempio ilbronzo, il rame, o l’ottone. Permigliorare la tenuta del metalloagli agenti ambientali ed apossibili graffi, la superficie dellastaffa è poi rivestita di specialitrattamenti a base di zinco, atti agarantirne l’aspetto ed ilfunzionamento nel tempo.

Tipi di vite

I morsetti IMO, possono includeresia viti a taglio che a croce,secondo quanto richiesto dalleesigenze di servizio sul campo.

Protezione contro i contattiaccidentali con le viti

Questa caratteristica èimprescindibile su tali prodotti,pur considerando che è buonanorma non connettere odisconnettere i conduttori,quando questi sono percorsi dauna qualsiasi corrente. Ilmorsetto IMO in ogni casoassolve lo scopo di prevenire talicontatti accidentali, in quanto lavite è ben sotto il piano isolatoesterno, e le parti in metallo sonoadeguatamente protette.

Tale situazione, renderàindispensabile l’utilizzo dielementi con parti plasticheresistenti alle alte temperature,proprio come quelli che IMO ègià in grado di offrire.

Prodotti senza Piombo

Tutti i morsetti IMO noncontengono piombo, in linea conle direttive previste dalla UE.

Plastiche per alte temperature

Assistiamo ad un trend dimercato, che sta spingendo leAziende manifatturiere impegnatenella produzione di schedeelettroniche, ad accresceresempre di più l’uso di tecniche amontaggio superficiale (SMT), edin questo senso tutte le aziendeche producono parti come iconnettori, si stanno dando ungran daffare per soddisfare almeglio tal esigenza. Sebbene lamaggior parte dei morsetti IMOsia montata durante i processisecondari, previo l’utilizzo diprocessi di saldatura ad onda omanuale, IMO ha già un prodottocapace di poter essere inserito inun processo di reflow ad altatemperatura. Tale esigenza derivaanche da una precisa direttivadella Comunità Europea, cheprevede l’eliminazione del piomboda tutti i processi di saldatura.Senza quest’elemento, ilcomposto saldante passerà allostato liquido ad una temperaturadi 30˚C superiore a quelloattuale.

The IMO Standard wire protectorterminal block types 100 and 500are simple structure PCB typeconnectors. Models are availablewith round pins or square solderpins, from 3.50mm and 3.81mm,to 15mm pitches whilst offeringthe option of 90˚, 135˚, and180˚ wire insertion directions.

The majority of types areavailable as basic units of 2-poleand 3-pole which allowcombining together for anyrequired pole length. The IMO102 series is only available as asingle moulding in fixed polelengths however, this unitprovides the largest wire capacityof this range, that being 4mm2.

This product type generallyprovides the most economicalway of using a PCB terminalblock and as such is extremelysuitable for use in security,lighting and general electronicindustries.

The IMO Professional series ofPCB type terminal blocks aredesigned with 3.5mm, 3.81mm,5.00mm, 6.35mm, 7.50mm,9.50mm, 10.00mm and10.16mm pitches at 90˚, 135˚and 180˚ wire entry directions.

With the design of single level,two-level and three-levelstructures, the IMO Professionalseries offers options for yourapplication.

The terminal blocks canaccommodate various wire sizesfrom 28AWG to 6AWG whilstthere is also a high power seriesthat provides the designer with ahigh electrical capacity in a smallspace, for use in products suchas power supplies and inverters.

The IMO Professional series usesa steel yoke as its fixture for thewire connection, and this enablesthe product to be maintenancefree by offering an anti-vibrationsystem preventing the wire fromloosening whilst allowing for alarge contact area and highreliability connection.

All of these series productsconform to IEC 60998 and UL1059 requirements and haveobtained international approvalsfrom bodies such as UL andVDE.

Most of the IMO Professionalseries are manufactured asstandard in 2-pole and 3-poleversions, and using combinationsof these two units, variouslengths can be made. However,should the application require it,typically in mass production, IMOcan supply the products in asingle moulding, whilst at thesame time we can also offer theservice of printing and markingon the terminal blocks.

As the IMO Professional seriesuses a high reliability connectionmethod, along with modernmanufacturing techniques, thismakes the product quality verystable and therefore suitable forindustrial controls andinformation technologyapplications.

Die gesamte Modellreiheentspricht den Anforderungen vonIEC 60998 und UL 1059 und istnach UL und VDE internationalzugelassen.

Die meisten Klemmleisten aus derIMO Reihe „Professional" werdenin 2- und 3-poliger Ausführunghergestellt. The IMO 900 and 1500 plugs,used as part of our pluggableinterconnect series of terminalblocks, can be used in a varietyof sockets (headers). Thesesockets are available in 3.50mm,3.81mm, 5.00mm, 5.08mm,7.5mm and 7.62mm pitches withhorizontal or vertical entry tomeet your various designrequirements; and for designswhere space is limited IMO arealso able to offer two-levelsockets.

The 900 and 1500 sockets aremanufactured to meet IEC 60998and UL 1059 requirements areapproved by UL and VDE.

To complement the standardrange of PCB sockets, IMO hasintroduced a new hightemperature version socket (HTrange), which is suitable for themajority of reflow methods.

Rated from -40˚C to 260˚C andmanufactured from hightemperature resistant materials, itis available in pitches 3.5mm to5.08mm, open ended or closedended, with or without flange.

Als Ergänzung unserer Standard-Platinenbuchsen stellt IMO dieneue Hochtemperaturversion (HT)vor, die für die meistenFließlötungsverfahren geeignet ist.

Durch die Verwendunghochtemperaturfester Materialienumfasst der Temperaturbereich -40˚C bis 260˚C. DerRasterabstand beträgt 3,5mm bis5,08mm, seitlich offen odergeschlossen, mit oder ohneFlansch.

Pour compléter la gammestandard de socles pour circuitsimprimés, IMO a créé unnouveau socles spécial pourhautes températures (gammeHT), qui convient à la plupart dessystèmes de refusion.

Prévu pour des températurescomprises entre -40˚C et 260˚Cet fabriqué en matériauxrésistants aux températuresélevées, il existe avec des pas de3,5 mm à 5,08 mm, avecextrémité ouverte ou fermée,évasé ou non.

The 900 and 1500 series makeup the plug side of our pluggableinterconnect series of terminalblocks and are available in thefollowing pitches 3.50mm,3.81mm, 5.00mm, 5.08mm,7.50mm and 7.62mm.

These series of plugs areavailable in horizontal, vertical,and front wire entry to meetmultiple design requirements.

IMO’s steel yoke design isutilised in these products tocreate a reliable connectionsuitable for use in industrialcontrols, information technologyand other applications requiringhighly reliable interconnectionwith the flexibility of simplifiedmodifications and installations.

The 900 and 1500 series aremanufactured to meet IEC 60998and UL 1059 requirements andare approved by UL and VDE

Mini Screwless, or push-fit, use asimple spring type clampmechanism. The IMO 4000 and5000 series terminal productsare available with 2.54mm,3.81mm, 3.96mm, 5.00mm,7.50mm, 7.62mm pitches andallow ferruled or solid wires to beinserted into the block directlywithout the assistance of a lever.Flexible wires can also beaccommodated within the blockby the use of the lever to assist inthe clamping action.

Within the 4000 and 5000 seriesrange there is also a no-leverdesign which reduces the heightof the housing for applicationswith limited space.

Removal of wire, is also easilyfacilitated, by pressing down theclamp with a screwdriver. Mostof the screwless type terminalsare assembled using single-poleunits that allows for easyassembly of extended lengthproduct.

These products are designedaccording to IEC 60998 and UL5059 standards, and the devicesare UL and VDE approved.

The convenient wire connectionmethod of this product is suitablefor telecommunication systems,lighting systems, security andarchitectural wiring.

L'estrazione del conduttore, èfacilitata dalla pressione sullamolla con un cacciavite. Lamaggior parte dei morsetti senzaviti, consiste di unità unipolariche consentono la facileconfigurazione di prodotti con ilnumero di poli desiderato.

Questi prodotti, sono progettati inconformità con le normative IEC60998 e UL 5059 e sonoomologati UL e VDE.

The IMO 3000 series are a PCBproduct that uses a spring clampterminal as the fixture for the wireconnections and this producttype is convenient to use andoffers a maintenance free, anti-vibration highly reliableconnection method.

The 3000 series is offered inpitches of 2.50mm, 2.45mm,5.00mm, 5.08mm, 7.50mm,7.62mm, 10.00mm and 10.16and with three wire entrydirections, 90˚, 135˚, and180˚C. For higher density wiring,for applications requiring limitedspace, IMO have product usingtwo-level, three-level, and four-level connection rows.

The product is in conformancewith IEC 60998 and UL 1059international standards.

The screwless cage clampterminal blocks are suitable foruse with solid, stranded orferruled wires and therefore areused widely in many applicationsin the industrial distribution andelectrical equipment fields.

New to the IMO PCB terminalblock range is the PCB carriers,allowing pcb's to be mounteddirectly to din rail.

PCB-CAR1 and 2 are suppliedfully assembled, accepting PCBsizes 72mm and 107mm wideand PCB lengths from 20mm to200mm.

PCB-CAR3 to 6 allows thecustomer to make up there owncustom carrier with maximumPCB lengths to 2m.

Modules can be mounted onto allcommercially available DIN rail.
