As we bid farewell to 2017 we move towards exciting times in 2018 not only for the ever evolving programme at the Devonshire Park Theatre but also as building work and redevelopment plans really start to take shape for the Devonshire Quarter project.

We have a packed Spring and start the year with riotous comedy musical Spamalot, based on the hugely successful film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Continuing the musical theme Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas returns and the UK tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie plays for one-week only featuring spectacular song and dance routines.

Direct from the West End we are very excited to welcome back master of mind-control and psychological illusion, Derren Brown. Here for one-week with his show Underground, we’ll all be talking about this mind-blowing show, so make sure you get your tickets.

We are thrilled to be bringing you West End production The Kite Runner. Receiving five-star reviews and described by critics as ‘the best page-to-stage show since War Horse’ this is going to be a must-see theatrical event! Classic TV comedy, Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em starring Joe Pasquale as Frank Spencer is touring the UK for the first time and is sure to be a laughter filled night out.

For fans of classic drama we invite you to enjoy a plethora of timeless titles including Ruth Rendell’s Gallowglass, Charles Dickens' Great Expectations, Henry James’ Turn Of The Screw and the welcome return of The Original Theatre Company with Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest.

Not forgetting your youngest theatregoers we’ve got two iconic children’s tales lovingly recreated for the stage, Red Riding Hood and the Wolf and hilarious family musical treat Alice In Wonderland.

All this plus there’s still time to get your tickets for this year’s pantomime Dick Whittington and his Cat, oh yes there is!!

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you to Eastbourne Theatres very soon.

Lovingly ripped off from the hugely successful 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot is a riotous comedy full of misfit knights, killer rabbits, dancing nuns and ferocious Frenchmen. Join King Arthur as he travels with his hapless Knights of the Round Table on a divine mission to locate the illusive Holy Grail – with uproarious consequences.

Winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best New Musical the hilarious Spamalot was written by Python legend Eric Idle, with a fantastic score co‑written by John DuPrez including Always Look On The Bright Side of Life.

Produced by the award winning Selladoor Productions ‑ producers of Footloose, American Idiot, Avenue Q and Little Shop of Horrors and Mercury Theatre Colchester, this brand new even SPAMMIER UK tour of Spamalot will have audiences rolling in the aisles.

Joe PasqualeSarah Earnshaw Susie Blake

Written & Directed by Guy UnsworthBased on the TV series by Raymond Allen

Everyone’s favourite 1970s classic TV comedy, Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em is back with Joe Pasquale starring as the loveable accident‑prone Frank Spencer, Sarah Earnshaw as his wife Betty and Susie Blake as his disapproving Mother‑in‑Law, Mrs Fisher.

The most successful sitcom of the decade gave us the hapless Frank and his long‑suffering wife Betty with catch phrases galore and a never‑ending list of disasters with roller‑skating escapades and runaway chickens.

Joe Pasquale is a national comedy treasure who exploded onto our tellies in New Faces and went on to win I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and host The Price is Right. Susie Blake’s incredible career includes Wicked, Blithe Spirit and had us in stitches in The Victoria Wood Show.

1840. A young governess agrees to look after two orphaned children in Bly, a seemingly idyllic country house. But shortly after her arrival, she realises that they are not alone. There are others – the ghosts of Bly’s troubled past. The Governess will risk everything to keep the children safe, even if it means giving herself up to The Others. This thrilling adaptation of Henry James’ much‑loved and genre defining classic ghost story Turn of the Screw lets you draw your own conclusions about the events at Bly and where guilt resides.

The original inspiration for Susan Hill’s The Woman in Black and numerous films, Turn of the Screw is thought provoking, moving and above all terrifying! Stylish, edge of your seat theatre!
