SET MODE:

This controls the main operation of your sensor.

Setting to Auto allows the PIR sensor to monitor your desired area and trigger the light on when movement is detected.

Manual override allows you to turn the light and stay on until you turn it off.

Flash mode gives you a flashing light for attention (warning) or fun.

SENSITIVITY: This can be used to increase or decrease the sensor’s sensitivity as required. (For example, in winter you may decrease the sensitivity due to low ambient temperatures and in summer you may need to increase sensitivity due to high ambient temperatures.) Options are Low, Mid or High.

CCT (if applicable):The colour temperature of the white light is able to be adjusted between 3000K and 6000K to match your existing lighting or your desired lighting colour temperature.

BRIGHTNESS: The brightness of the security light is adjustable from 0% to 100%. Change to suit your desired light level.

TIME (DURATION): The length of time the light remains ON after detection can be adjusted from the minimum to the maximum duration as per product specifications. Once the PIR sensor switches on the light, any subsequent detection will start the time period again from the beginning. Adjustable from 10 seconds to 600 seconds (10 minutes)

LUX: Your security floodlight has a built in photoelectric cell that automatically detects daylight and darkness. The Lux is adjustable from 20lux (dark) to 2000lux (quite bright). You can choose the lux that closely matches the time of day you wish the sensor to state activating.

SUGGESTED VOICE CONTROL COMMANDS:There are two voice control options for this product.

You can turn the light on and off (“Hey Google/Alexa, turn sensor light off”)

You can control the dimming & brightness level of the light (“Hey Google/Alexa, dim sensor light to 20%” “Hey Google/Alex, brighten light to 100%”)

Setting the controls for desired sensing area.

1. After the product is paired and setup in the Brilliant Smart App, set the Lux to the highest setting (2000).

2. Set the TIME duration to the minimum (10 seconds).

3. Direct the sensor toward the desired area, adjusting the elbow joint on the sensor arm. Loosen all nuts and screws on sensor before adjusting.

4. Move across the centre of the detection area and adjust the angle of the sensor arm until the light is switched on. Your sensor is now aimed at your selected area.

5. Adjust the time setting to the desired level.

PROBLEM POSSIBLE REASON POSSIBLE SOLUTION

Light does not switch ON when there is movement in the detection area

1. No mains voltage. Check all connections, fuses/switches.

2. Nearby lighting is too bright. Redirect sensor or relocate the lamp .

3. Sensor positioned in wrong direction. Redirect sensor.

4. LUX setting is too low and SENS setting is too low. Adjust LUX and SENS settings.

5. Light fitting may be faulty or has connection problem.

Check light fitting /globe and wiring connections.

6. The sensor may be turned off in the app. Ensure the Sensor is turned on via the app.

Sensor will not operate during daylight. (Testing mode)

1. No power. First check that the power is turned ‘ON’. Check connections, fuses, circuit breakers.

2. Sensor isn’t set into daylight operation mode. Check LUX control is set to a high lux level (2000).

Light switches ON for no apparent reason. False triggering.

1. Heat sources such as air-con, vents, heater flues, barbecues, other outside lighting, moving cars, activates the sensor.

Redirect sensor away from those sources. Readjust SENS and LUX controls to lower levels.

2. Dogs, cats, home animals possums, birds. Adjust/Redirect/Relocate the sensor.

3. Wind and draughts activated the sensor. Cover sensor unit with a black cloth for a period of 5 min to check that the light does not trigger. Sometimes passages between buildings etc. can cause a “wind tunnel” effect. Adjust/relocate the sensor.

4. Electromagnetic interference, from other electronic devices, ON /OFF switching of existing fluorescent, LED, lights etc. wired in the same circuit with sensor, may cause to trig the sensor. For example a faulty wall switch or noisy fluorescent tubes/starters may cause to activate the sensor.

a. Wire the sensor into its dedicated circuit with isolating wall switch (*).

b. Replace the faulty devices, switches in the circuit.

c. Replace noisy fluorescent tubes and/or starters.

d. Relocate the sensor.(*) Always recommended

5. Reflection from swimming pool, or reflective surfaces (eg: polished floors) or direct sunlight.

Redirect sensor from direct sunlight otherwise the photocell may get damaged. Redirect sensor.

6. Another user has turned on the sensor via the app or voice control

Check that the app is set to “Auto” mode and not over-ridden.

Sensor not turning OFF Light remains ON

1. The sensor is in ‘Manual override mode’. Set the sensor into Auto Mode via app.

2. Continuous false triggering. Redirect/relocate the sensor to avoid false activation.

3. Sensor is being activated again before the expire of the time set.

Check for any extra sources of heat/air movement within detection area such as animals, moving objects. Adjust the sensor head and controls accordingly.

Sensor will not operate at night.

Ambient light is too high. The level of ambient (street) light in the area may be too high. Adjust LUX level accordingly and remove any other sources of ambient light if possible.

Sensor switches ON during daylight.

1. Low level of ambient light. The level of ambient light in the area may be too dark to allow operation in Night-time only mode. Re-adjust the LUX level accordingly.

2. LUX level is close to 2000lux. Check and turn the LUX down towards 20lux.

The detection distance becomes shorter

1. The sensor lens is dirty. Cleaning the LENS use soft cloth soaked with water, don’t scratch the LENS.

2. Warm and wet environment. Dry/clean the sensor.

Sensor will not operate at all

1. No power. Check that the power is switched ON at the circuit breaker or internal wall switch. Check that connections are not loose.

2. Product not paired. Pair product.
