Tongue twisters

• Every French lesson starts by a range of tongue twisters.

• “Trois tortues qui trottaient sur trois toits très étroits.”

• “Ces six saucissons sont si secs qu’on ne sait si s’en sont”…

• The use of tongue twisters is a very good way to practice the sounds of a language especially with young children.

Assessment

• from 3 years, all year 6 are making a power point in French by the end of the year using their knowledge in this language.( Ask Caroline for any examples of these from last year).

• We are working on the “French booklets” for children to progress in French at their rhythm.(Same idea as the Spelling and Numeracy booklets).

• These will contain different levels up to 10 and will help the children to memorise vocabulary and few sentences in French.
