INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS1. Place vehicle in PARK. Turn key to OFF position

and remove from vehicle.

ACCESS VEHICLE CHASSIS1. Remove and retain hood as per owner’s manual.2. Remove and retain four seats as per owner’s

manual.

3. Remove and retain five plastic rivetsA and fourscrewsB to remove and retain front centerconsoleC.

NOTEShift boot and seat belt boots can be pushed through

console openings.

CONNECT BUSBAR HARNESS

WARNINGFailure to properly connect harness to terminal blockand battery as directed below may result in personal

injury or damage to equipment.

NOTERefer to Harness Detail section for connector

identification.

1. Disconnect battery as per owner’s manual.Disconnect negative (–) cable from battery, thendisconnect positive (+) cable from battery.

WARNINGDo not connect busbar harnessq to battery at thistime. Battery may short, resulting in personal injury

or damage to equipment.

2. Route busbar harnessq from batteryA throughcenter console openings, beneath firewallB, andup to terminal blockC.

IMPORTANTLoosely route harness; do not secure at this time.

3. Connect harness ring terminals to terminal blockC.a. Remove and retain two nutsD.b. Connect ring terminal 1D (black harness) of

busbar harnessq to terminal block postlabeled GND. Secure with one nutD.

c. Connect ring terminal 1C (red harness) ofbusbar harnessq to terminal block postlabeled BAT. Secure with one nutD.

d. Torque two nutsD to specification.

TORQUE24 in. lbs. (3 Nm)

e. Place terminal cap over ring terminal 1C ofbusbar harnessq.

4. Connect busbar harnessq to battery.a. Positive (+)

i. Remove nut and fastener from positive (+)cable compression terminal.

ii. Install ring terminal 1F (red cable) of busbarharnessq beneath fastener head ofpositive (+) compression terminalE.

iii. Reinstall fastener and nut.Torque fastener to specification.

TORQUE60 in. lbs. (7 Nm)

iv. Reconnect red positive (+) battery cable topositive battery terminal and tightenfastener.

v. Reinstall red boot (if present).b. Negative (–)

i. Remove nut and fastener from negative (–)battery compression terminal.

ii. Install ring terminal 1E (black cable) ofbusbar harnessq beneath fastener headof negative (–) compression terminalF.

iii. Reinstall fastener and nut.Torque fastener to specification.

TORQUE60 in. lbs. (7 Nm)

iv. Reconnect black negative (–) battery cableto negative battery terminal and tightenfastener.

5. Use four double routing clips 1A and two edgeclips 1B of busbar harnessq. Protect harness asrequired to prevent chafing against sharp edges ormoving parts.

REASSEMBLE VEHICLE1. Reinstall rear center consoleD with four plastic

rivetsA and two screwsB.Torque two screwsB to specification.

TORQUE8 ft. lbs. (11 Nm)

2. Reinstall front center consoleC with five plasticrivetsA and four screwsB.Torque two screwsB to specification.

TORQUE8 ft. lbs. (11 Nm)

3. Reinstall four seats as per owner’s manual.4. Reinstall hood as per owner’s manual.
