Building ServicesWho are we?

We are Coventry City Council’s own in-house team of highly trained and skilled employees who give a one stop buildings maintenance solution via our helpdesk.

What do we do?

Planned servicing and maintenance to electrical and mechanical services and installations that satisfies legislative requirements, reactive repairs to all systems, services and building fabric, planned repairs, alterations or adaptations and an emergency 24/7 callout service.

Who do we do this for?

Coventry City Council operational buildings and commercial portfolio, schools, charitable and sports trusts. We also deliver support to community service programmes.

Building Surveying Consultancy Services Who are we?

We are the one stop shop for service delivery of assistance and guidance for all aspects of your property management.

From a solution to that sticking door to assistance on major property developments.

What do we do?

Expedient technical advice on building matters

We aim to provide you with advice on all your building requirements within 24 hours. We will satisfy statutory and regulatory obligations.

We assist in all matters either through our own staff or Term Contracts.

Project management

Managing works from inception of scheme to completion, including budget quotations, feasibility studies, project brief, design, building regulations, planning, budget management, on-site supervision, quality control and client handover.

Programme works

Assisting clients with development plans, programme works as a result of condition surveys and building knowledge / experience.

Term Contracts

We have Term and Framework Contracts that can provide you with speedy and proven cost effective solutions to various issues from flooring to roofing, from suspended ceilings to blinds / curtains and all engineering solutions.

Procurement

We can ensure that all aspects of the procurement are taken into consideration to ensure that you comply with the Council’s procurement policy.

Asbestos

Our Asbestos Management Officer will be able to assist you on all aspects of Asbestos Surveying including assistance with your LAMP.

CAD

Our in-house Architectural CAD Officer in conjunction with your Area Surveyor can provide you with a fast response with initial schemes and outline proposals to detailed plans and ensuring all statuary approvals are sought.

Engineering Maintenance Consultancy Services Who are we? A team of highly experienced Engineers with various engineering specialisms including mechanical and electrical services, electronics and lifts. What do we do? We provide advice on all aspects of maintenance and replacement of engineering services including electrical and mechanical plant, CCTV, door access systems and a whole host of equipment and systems within your property. We prepare specifications and tender documentation for installations covering both the replacement of existing plant and in conjunction with the wider team, extensions and refurbishments to meet our client’s service delivery needs.

In addition we provide specialist advice and support with regards to water hygiene, electrical inspections and other statutory obligations required for your property.
