(App may or may not be necessary.) •The user then goes to any enabled printer on the network and releases the job. •It’s a closed, “in-network” system, which means you can control any security protocols.

Cloud-based system •This approach offers a little more mobility and may be more affordable because there’s no server to buy.•Print jobs are run through a provider’s cloud and the cost is based solely on usage. •The print network can extend beyond an organization’s network to include participating airports, hotels, coffee shops, etc.•Users download an app, which helps manage security and authorization. They can find the nearest printer using the app.

Shrinking IT budget doesn’t rule out added convenience
