Business Mobile Deposit User Guide

To register for Republic Bank’s Business Mobile Deposit Service, visit the app store and download the “FREE*” Republic Bank Business Mobile Deposit application onto a smartphone (IPhone and Android users).

After the download is complete select the Register Now option from the main menu and begin the registration process.

Read the Republic Bank Business Mobile Deposit Capture Service End User Agreement. Scroll to the bottom and place a check mark in the green box next to I Agree, thus accepting the End User Agreement.

Press continue.

On the registration page, input the Authorized BOB User information. Input all business checking accounts to be registered for Business Mobile Deposit. Accounts registered must be business checking accounts already accessed in BOB.

Once the application is submitted, an approval email will be sent within one to two business days. See section 2.0 Approval/Rejection.

One to two business days after registration, an approval email will be sent. This email will include the account(s) approved for Business Mobile Deposit.

The email will explain what the User ID will be and will provide a password to login. See section 3.0 Login.

It is recommended to change this password to something unique and only known to the User after the first successful log-in. See section 4.0 Changing Password.

2.0 Approval

2.1 Rejection

Thank you for applying for Republic Bank’s Business Mobile Deposit. We apologize, however as your account does not currently meet one or more of the eligibility requirements listed below to begin using this service. Once you have met the eligibility requirements, you may reapply for the service.

• Active user of Business Online Banking (BOB) • Account(s) must be open more than 60 days • Must be a Business Checking account • No overdrafts or Return Deposited Items within the past 60 days • MSBs (Money Service Businesses) are not eligible for Business Mobile Deposit

In some instances the email will be a rejection notice. If the account(s) were denied it was because certain criteria for account approval were not met. The below criteria must be met in order to utilize Business Mobile Deposit:

• Must be a Business Checking account• Active user of Business Online Banking (BOB)• Account (s) must be open more than 60 days• No overdrafts or Return Deposited Items within the past 60 days• MSBs (Money Service Businesses) are not eligible for Business

3.0 LoginOnce the “Welcome to Business Mobile Deposit” email is received with account approvals, User ID and Password information, pull up Republic Bank Business Mobile Deposit app on a smartphone.

Input the Username and Password that was received in the welcome/approval email and select the Login tab.

**It is recommended to change the password after the first successful login. See Changing Password section 4.0**

A warning message that “RB Deposit” Would Like to Access the Camera” is received with the options to Don’t Allow and OK

Select the OK option.

Note – Must allow access to camera or no check images can be taken or reviewed.

4.0 Changing PasswordIf this is the first time logging into the application, it is suggest-ed that the password be changed to one that is unique and only known by User. At the bottom right-hand corner of the screen select the blue “I” with the circle around it.

This icon will open a Menu Options screen.

Select the ‘Change Password’ option.

Input original password that was received in the welcome/approval email. Create a new unique password and reconfirm the new password. Password must be at least four characters long and is case sensitive.

**Note: If password is accepted, a message will be received that the password has been changed. Click “OK”**

Click the blue Main Menu tab at the top-left of the screen to go back to the main menu and begin to make a deposit (section 5.0) or review deposits (section 6.0).

5.0 Making a DepositDeposits must be placed by 4:00 PM ET/3:00 PM CT to be given same day credit. Any deposits received after 4:00 PM ET/3:00 PM CT will be credited the following business day

***Also please keep in mind that the timestamp on the applica-tion is in CT (Central Time) ***

From the Main Menu, select Deposit.

Key in the amount of the check using the number pad on the screen.

**Decimal point needs to be included**

Click on Deposit into: at the bottom of the screen to select which account to deposit into. Select Save.

Before completing the entry – verify the amount keyed matches the amount of the check and that the Deposit into: account is correct.

Press the green Enter button.

The application automatically loads the camera feature where an image of the front of the check can be captured.

Place the check onto an open, clutter-free area. Have good lighting and be sure and hold the phone steady. Take the picture.

After the image is captured, review the photo to make sure the image is clear and readable, and that all four corners of the check are visible in the captured image.

Retake or Use Photo.

If the image is blurry, illegible or parts of the check are cropped, select Retake. If the image is clear and legible, select Use Photo.

Turn the check over and take a photo of the back of the check.

**Check must be properly endorsed**

Review image and select Retake or Use Photo.

If no endorsement is present or the image is too light, the following error message will pop up. Retake or Cancel the deposit.

When the deposit is uploaded successfully, an Upload Successful! Message is received. Press Done.

Uploaded deposits will be available for review in the Review section of the Main Menu. See section 6.0. Reviewing a Deposit.

Checks must be retained in a secure location for a minimum of 10 business days to ensure that the full clearing process is complete.

The check must be securely disposed within 30 business days.

6.0 Reviewing a DepositFrom the Main Menu, select Review.

A Review List of all deposits that have been made will populate.

Deposits received and accepted have a green check mark and deposits rejected have a red circle with ‘X’. If a deposit is not listed refresh the list by selecting the blue curved arrow at the top right hand corner of the page.

Select the blue Main Menu option at the top left hand corner to return to the Main Menu.

To review a deposit in more detail, select the gray arrow to the right of the deposit amount.

The Deposit Details screen will show the following details of the deposit: 1. Name of the depository account 2. Transaction ID number 3. Date and time of transaction **Special note: all times

listed in this application are in CT (Central Time) ** 4. Deposit status 5. Deposit amount

Select the blue Review tab at the top right hand back to the Deposit Review list.

Look at the images of the checks by selecting the Front or Back options from the bottom of the Deposit Details screen.

7.0 Possible Error MessagesRetake photo if the image is unclear, too dark or part of the check was cut out of the image.

Retake photo if the image is missing the MICR information on the bottom of the check. Making sure the MICR information (the routing number, account number, etc…) is visible.

Cancel photo if the check is a duplicate. Duplicate checks can-not be deposited through the Business Mobile Deposit applica-tion.
