• Business Objects is integrated into CAPPS Security.• CAPPS security roles (assigned based on your

current Business Objects access) drives your universe and adhoc/run-only access. • HR, Payroll, Commitment Accounting and Time &

Labor are in one universe.• Separate Time & Labor-only universe is also

available.• Agency and Department-level security is inferred

from the user’s CAPPS security.

Business Objects 4.1 Upgrade Testing

• New look and feel. HTML client replaces JAVA.• The link to Business Objects 4.1 Online training is available

on the CAPPS FMX page. • Public reports were converted. The Business Objects team

will assist with converting private reports.• HCMUAT1 is the data source for both 3.1 and 4.1 test. • If you need assistance, please enter an ASP Solution

Center Support Request and select Business Objects as the Product, Acceptance Test as the Environment and include 4.1 in the Short Description.

• Go-Live with 3.1 and 4.1: December 1, 2017• Decommission 3.1: TBD (after at least three

months)• CAPPS Financials, FMQuery and SIRS Reports

timelines are several months behind HR/Payroll.
