PH Answers: First of all, don’t take it personally. They’re not saying no to you but to your offer. Focus your efforts on sharing the benefits. If they’re still not interested, ask if they know someone else who might be. Referrals are a great source for new business. And, don’t count the naysayers out for good. Tell them you appreciate their time and will be sure to follow up in the future. Try the 100 NOs exercise in the New Consultant section of Consultant’s Corner. It’s a fun way to get outside your comfort zone. You Asked: When a “dry spell” hits, how can I get bookings started again? PH Answers: Revisit your first few months in the business and the activities you engaged in to get your first bookings. Pull out your Who Do I Know form and start reaching out. Host an Open House and send party invitations promoting the opportunity to be selected as the Mystery Hostess who gets all the rewards. The more people you get face-to-face with, the more booking opportunities you’ll have. Look back at your previous orders for those who spent over $100. Customers who commit to higher-priced purchases make great booking leads. Look to the Facebook Organizers & Consultants Group (facebook.com/groups/princesshousefield), as well as your own Organizer, for additional inspiration. Follow up after each of their initial parties to see how they did. Ask about sales, bookings and potential recruiting leads and what, if any, challenges they encountered. To help your New Consultants feel connected, we recently instituted a series of e-mails and recorded tips they receive throughout their first six months in business. The e-mails are full of helpful advice, videos and links to tools and training in Consultant’s Corner.
