ButterflyButterfly is a flying insect. It has a very interesting name in English that consists of two elements: butter and fly. They say that the first element of the word can be explained by its butter – colour or by a belief that the butterflies ate milk and butter.

There are hundreds of types of butterflies in the world. They live

almost everywhere:in fields, parks, forests etc. Some of them come out

during the day while others come out during the night.

Butterflies can live from a week to nearly a year depending on the

species.They eat nectar from flowers.

They have a head with two antennaes,two eyes and a proboscis.

And ,of course, they have very beautiful wings.
