Commodities like Cocoa, Coffee, Tea, Spices, Seeds, Herbs, Ground- and Tree-nuts find their home in Steinweg’s warehouses all over the world, where they are handled with the care and expertise the business expects from a first class warehousing company like Steinweg.
The Steinweg Group operates an international network of ocean terminals and warehouses. Some of these com-panies are real specialists in the handling of Soft commodities, providing conditioned warehouses and offering value added services with the strictest regime on food safety and most importantly with the right people.
We are a pure logistics service provider. We add value through the supply chain by efficient cargo handling and solid logistic solutions. Additionally we act as the trusted warehouse keeper in collateral financing agreements and are a recognized partner for banks that are active in trade and commodityfinancing (TCF).
C. Steinweg was founded in 1847 in Rotterdam by Constantin Steinweg and has always remained a privately owned company. Over the years we have developed into the multinational logistics group we are today while maintaining our status as independent company.

Soft Commodities
The soft commodities that are handled at C. Steinweg Handelsveem are:
- Cocoa, Amsterdam is specialised in this commodity. Needless to say that our facilities are LIFFE and ICE approved,- Coffee, main warehouse in Antwerp and Hamburg. Accreditations by LIFFE and ICE,- Ground- and Tree nuts, with temperature controlled warehousing facilities maintaining the shelf life of your product. We offer blanching facilities in Rotterdam, Oosterhout and in Johannesburg. These services inclu- de reconditioning, cleaning on foreign material, grading, roasting, whole and split blanching.- Tea, acting as independent tea blenders on behalf of our principals. In Rotterdam blending/flavoring/sie ving/cleaning and repacking are part of the services we are able to offer in our dedicated tea warehouse and processing facility.- Spices and herbs, with dedicated warehouses for a wide variety of spices and all are equipped with the necessary upgrading facilities such as reconditioning, cleaning on foreign material, grading, steam sterilization and grinding.- Tobacco, dedicated Tobacco warehouses across Southern Africa as well as Antwerp,- Rubber, mainly active in the storage of Rubber in Shanghai and Turkey.
Oxygen low treatment cells were developed to be able to deliver your product free from live infestation. In all of the above the HACCP/AIB/UTZ/Organic standards are fully respected.
