CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: GREENBANK CRESCENT TEMPORARY CLOSURE TONIGHT 08/09

We are writing to advise you that following an incident overnight in which a vehicle crashed through guard rails and worksite fencing, there will be a temporary closure of Greenbank Crescent at Bell Street tonight, Thursday 8 September from 9pm to 1am.

The road closure is required to enable workers to replace the damaged section of guard rail at the site of the accident on Bell Street near the corner of Greenbank Crescent. There will be an associated lane closure on Bell Street to ensure the safety of workers.

Residents in upper Greenbank Crescent will not be able to access this section of road while the closure is in place. If you are returning to Greenbank Crescent after 9.00pm tonight, you will need to consider alternative parking arrangements for the period of the closure.

While the temporary closure is in place, lower Greenbank Crescent residents can enter Greenbank Crescent from Hackett Street. All vehicles will be able to exit Greenbank Crescent as normal.

We apologise to residents for any inconvenience this work might cause.

What the works involveWe will be removing the damaged guard rail and replacing it – new post holes will be excavated and a new guard rail put in place.

What you may notice While these works will not impact your property, you will notice:

Temporary barriers at the Bell Street end of Greenbank Crescent Construction personnel and excavation equipment Truck movements and mobile crane Some associated equipment and construction noise – mainly a power drill Lights illuminating the work area
