Dear Resident CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON PASCOE VALE ROAD The CityLink Tulla Widening project involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will also provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods. Once completed, the project will deliver a safer, more reliable freeway. Generally, an additional lane is being added in each direction, as well as upgrades at key interchanges including Bell Street, Mount Alexander Road / Flemington Road and on the Bolte Bridge to West Gate Freeway entry ramp. CPB Contractors (formally Leighton Contractors) is the construction contractor for the Bulla Road to Power Street section of the project. We would like to notify you of changed traffic conditions on Pascoe Vale Road from Wednesday 13 January 2016. Where we will be To widen the CityLink bridge that passes over Pascoe Vale Road we will be creating safe work areas for our crews. To do this, we will be changing traffic conditions in the area shown on the map below.

Dear Resident

CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS ON PASCOE VALE ROAD

The CityLink Tulla Widening project involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport.

Where we will beTo widen the CityLink bridge that passes over Pascoe Vale Road we will be creating safe work areas for our crews. To do this, we will be changing traffic conditions in the area shown on the map below.

When works will occurWorks will take place between 7pm and 6am on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 January 2016 to change traffic conditions.

What we are doingTo change traffic conditions and create safe work areas we will be: Removing existing line marking on Pascoe Vale Road; Applying new line marking on Pascoe Vale Road; and Installing safety barriers for our crews to work behind, as well as other traffic management devices such as signs.

What to expectDuring the night works to change traffic conditions, you can expect: A crew of around a dozen workers in the area; Noise from hydro-blasting truck to remove existing line marking and noise from truck mounted crane to lift and

place concrete barriers along the roadside; and Other impacts from construction activities such as flashing lights and engine noise when trucks are in use.

Changes to traffic conditions Once the changed traffic conditions are in place on Pascoe Vale Road, you can expect for the duration of construction until late 2017: Two lanes remaining open in both directions (some night time closures may be required from time to time); and Lowering of the speed limit to 40 km/h through our construction area.

Residents will be able to access their properties at all times.

These works may be rescheduled in the event of unsuitable weather or other unavoidable circumstances. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

We are committed to keeping residents informed and minimising the inconvenience during construction, while keeping the community and our workers safe at all times. Managing and protecting the environment is also important to us and we are working in conjunction with local and state environmental laws to ensure the natural ecosystem is not affected by works.
