External Connector License
Allows access to a server by unlimited number of “external users” or non-employees
External Users: any person who is NOTi. Your full time-employee
such as parents, community members, alumni, prospective students, and current students
ii. Agency Temporary personnel or independent contractor on assignment at your worksite; or
iii. You customer to you provide hosted services or other persons providing services to or on behalf of your organization.
Most of the case, Key External users are business partners and customers
An External Connector license is required for each copy of the server software for which you want to provide access.
A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate server. Each external connector license assigned to a server permits any number of external users to access instances of the server software on that server. You do not need CALs for those users.
