YEP Global – The Voice of Future Leaders in Property

YEP is a networking organisation that provides a career developing platform and a voice for the future leaders of the property industry.Since 2002, YEP has successfully established itself as the number one forum for youngentrepreneurs and enables rising stars in the industry to network, learn and exchange ideas.It’s achieved that by creating a fantastic balance of events that appeal to young professionals, blended with high profile industry speakers and supported by a diverse range of entrepreneurs and leaders from different industries and disciplines.

Along with an assortment of monthly events that young professionals want to attend, their employers gain from their rising stars being part of a forum that helps provide a programme of continuous professional development in an environment where they connect and improve their networking skills with new industry contacts. With over 6,000 members, YEP boasts a broad spectrum of professionals spanning the property industry including; Property Managers and Developers, Occupiers, Construction Companies, Surveyors, Architects, Interior Designers, Developers, Lawyers, Accountants, Engineers, Contractors and other supporting consultants.

Recent speakers include leading experts in the property industry for example; Melanie Leech of the British Property Federation, Manish Chande of Mountgrange, Gary Neville of Zerum, Will Lewis of OBI Property, Peter Murray of the NLA, Patrick Laine of the WWF to name but a few. YEP organises and delivers a wide array of events including building tours, wine tasting, speed networking, panel events and golf days.

YEP and Our Not For Profit PartnersYEP Global is led by a board of directors and YEP Cambridge by a steering committee that draws from some of the property sector’s leading companies and works closely with its partners to provide a stimulating environment for the industry’s rising stars to develop their networking skills.

YEP Cambridge launched in May 2016. The committee for this region represents a cross-section of specialist organisations with links to the Cambridge property industry. They include Mills & Reeve, Henry Riley, Bidwells, Eversheds Sutherland, Greenwoods, Strutt & Parker, Savills, NRAP Architects, Linden Homes, Deloitte and Carter Jonas.Wherever we are, the YEP mantra is the same, to be the ‘voice of future leaders in property’, and YEP Cambridge will represent everything that is great about Cambridge.

Cambridge has a unique relationship between business and academia, with 31 colleges founded between the 13th and 20th centuries. A city with a metropolitan population of 280,000 and growing fast, the Cambridge economy focuses on research and development, software consultancy, high value engineering, creative industries, pharmaceuticals and tourism. The nickname ‘silicon fen’ is a nod to the density of high-tech industries and technology incubators in the city, most of which have direct links back to the colleges.

Rapid economic growth brings major challenges for the built environment including pressures on transport systems, housing, the environment, community facilities, and demand for commercial space. The Cambridge property market is responding with major new developments including CB1, Cambridge Bio-Medical Campus and North-West Cambridge. But is the growth fast enough? Can the infrastructure cope? How much housing is needed? How can the city’s great heritage be protected? These are some of the questions the Cambridge YEP Committee will be seeking answers to and we want you to be part of it.
