Our Time Here

This lovely house has been my family home for over 40 years, since I was a child. Relocating from London was a big change, but my parents fell in love with Birchington and this house, with the beautiful sandy beach at Minnis Bay at the end of the road. I absolutely love this house and I’ve always lived here. When I bought it from my dad around 15 years ago, we extended the property from a bungalow into a house. My favourite part of the house is probably the outdoor decking area. It’s a lovely, sunny place to sit out with a cup of coffee or have barbecues in the summer. It feels secluded, without being cut off and there is a lovely seaside atmosphere. Indoors, a real highlight is the bright, spacious lounge, which is an ideal family room and a great space for entertaining. The location is so convenient, there’s a bus stop down the road, and the town is easily accessible. The train station offers the fast service to London, which is ideal for anyone wanting to commute, and there are plenty of shops and local amenities nearby. Minnis Bay is just a beautiful place to live. I have so many happy memories of this house, which has been my home for the majority of my life, and it is with sadness that the decision has been made to downsize. I love the area so much, and certainly intend to move within Birchington.

This property is close to the seafront with walks towards Reculver and the popular 'Minnis Bay Bar & Brasserie' restaurant. Birchington village centre is within easy reach where you will find a good variety of shops, bars and restaurants, as well as a mainline railway station providing regular services to London. The Cathedral City of Canterbury is approximately 15 miles away and there are good road links to London via the A299 Thanet Way and motorway network via the M2.
