Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

Although we still have one third of the school year to go we are starting to think ahead to

the next academic year. Soon we will be sending out letters to parents asking if they are

intending to return for the school next year. This helps us to decide how many spaces we

have for new students next year and make sure we have the correct staffing levels.

Since we have opened we have been on a journey of improvement and this is something that I

am determined to continue. We are proud of the close knit and caring school community that

we have created here at Cardiff and I hope that I am always approachable and open to

suggestions and comments from parents.

We will be making some changes for the next academic year in response to feedback and I am

excited about how these changes will further improve the educational experience of children

here at Cardiff. I will be holding meetings for parents about what next year will look like in

the next term so look out for information about these meetings. I hope to see you there!

After School Clubs for the Summer Term

Letters were sent out last week about next term’s after school clubs. Please send

your reply back as soon as possible. This gives a much greater chance of your child

getting their first choice of club.

Lost property

Please come and check our lost property box which

is located in the Year 1 hall. If any items are not

collected by the end of term they will be placed

in our new second hand uniform sale.

Please can we remind parents to label all school

items, so that they can be returned to their

rightful owner if lost.

Second Hand Uniform

The PTA are collecting second hand uniform to sell to new or existing parents. If you

have any uniform that has been out grown, or you are leaving Cardiff, please think

about donating items of uniform to help others.

Any items that are left in lost property at the end of the term will also be placed in

the sale.

If you have any items to donate please give them in at the school office.

We will begin selling the second hand uniform at the start of next term.

Parent’s Evenings

Don’t forget to sign up for an appointment for

Parent’s Evening next week. Sign-up sheets are on

the noticeboard outside the Year 2 villa. You will

have the opportunity to meet with your child’s

Maths teacher and first language Arabic and

Islamic teachers if applicable. ICT and French

teachers will be available to speak to on a drop in

basis.

Please make sure you have made your appointment.

We will be issuing end of term reports next week.

Reports will be given out at Parent’s Evenings; f you

are unable to attend for Parent’s Evening next

last day of term.

Reports are an important document that you may

need to use in the future, so please make sure that

you keep these safe.

Important!

Because of Parent’s

Evenings there will be no

after school clubs next

week, except for Karate
