• When RPM is known, you can easly find the pump flow delivery; refer to the left chart below. Flow are in LPM, to convert to GPM divide result by 3.7854.

• When pump displacement and pressure requirement are known, input horsepower (HP) needed, can be found on the right chart below. Electric motor RPM need to be considered.

• DC power pack pump flow will decrease as system pressure requirement increases, please refer to flow curve (Q) to find flow reduction.

• When application flow and pressure is known you can find current requirement and define duty cycle allowed by following these easy steps:

1. Find cross point of flow (Q) and pressure (P) required on the chart. GPM / 3.7854 = LPM ***** PSI/145=MPa2. Select closest pump displacement (Q curves) to the cross point.3. In relation to pressure find vertical cross point on the current curve ( I ) of the selected pump.4. Draw a horizontal line from this point to the right side I(A) number to find amperage.5. Take I(A) number and plot on bottom of S2/S3 chart I(A) line.6. Draw a vertical line from this point that intersects with S2/S3 curves.7. Horizontaly to the left, you will find maximum time the unit can run before motor brushes reach 150°C (Maximum DC motor operating temperature).8. Horizontaly to the right, you will find percentage of a 10 minutes cycle the unit can run.

Short time-duty type: S2Operation at constant load, of short duration, without thermal equilibrium being reached. A no load period follows, sufficient for the motor to return to ambient temperature.Example: S2=4.5 minutesThe motor runs continuously for 4.5 minutes, and stops a time sufficient to return to ambient temperature.

Intermittent periodic-duty type: S3Operations which consist of a sequence of uniform cycles (duty cycle 10 minutes) consisiting of a period at constant load and a no load period.Example: S3=13%The motor runs 1.3 minutes and stops 8.7 minutes.
