Sponsors Needed! What Does It Mean to Be an

RCIA Sponsor? The faith journey that leads to the

celebration of the sacraments of Baptism,

Confirmation, and Eucharist is initiated by God, who

calls each of us by name. By the power of the Holy

Spirit, hearts are stirred and lives are changed.

Responding to that divine initiative is personal, but it

is also aided by the Christian community that helps an

individual discern God’s call. A Sponsor is:

A link to the community

A companion along the way

A mentor but not a catechist

A person of prayer

Is God calling you to the ministry of being a sponsor?

Please prayerfully consider being a sponsor for

someone in RCIA. Please contact Sydney at 276-669-

8200 ext. 32 or email sydneyfarnum@stannes-

bristol.org if you are willing to serve as a sponsor.

Nursery Workers Needed!!!

If you like working with children, consider joining our

nursery crew. Hours are flexible; some Saturdays, all

Sundays, some Wednesdays, and all Holy Days of

Obligation. If interested, please contact Van4ssa Purdy
