Joining a franchise, which is an agreement or license between two legally independent parties -- gives a person or group of people (franchisees) the right to market a product or service using the trademark or trade name of that business (franchisors), and provides a viable business alternative. Nicole Kenney: Congratulations, Heather on \RXUPDWULFXODWLRQDW7HPSOH·V)R[%XVLQHVVSchool. What are you studying?

NK: Awesome! What skills sets did you hone while at the NAACP that will assist you as a business student?

HQ: I gained knowledge about economic disparities in the United States. This last fact has KHOSHGPHWRUHDFKKLJKHU%HLQJDIIRUGHGZLWKthe ability to pursue higher education made the decision to continue my education more enticing. I would be doing both myself and my community a grave disservice if I decided not to continue my education.
