DENIM ON DENIM
Hello you pretty people! With everyone popping with blogs every other day, I
am going to try not to blasé you with usual stuff. Growing up a tomboy, I
somehow found my way into fashion and here I am trying to figure out all of it.
With so many of you out there just like me, let’s do this together! We will talk
about everything here from fashion to beauty to skincare and art.
Today we’ll talk about classics. The moment the word ‘classic’ is mentioned,
we imagine soft, sophisticated and old. A major chunk of classic clothing are
indeed not over the top dresses and hats but very wearable fashion. One major
classic style back in action are DENIMS.
Denims are all over the place as they are
comfortable and chic and can be easily
dressed up or down.
The denim on denim trend is rather tricky
as one can often go overboard or just be
scared to combine various elements
together. But it’s indeed one of the easiest
and chicest trend to take to the streets.
Here are a few quick tips to start off
flaunting your denims
Wear different washes together. It
gives a texture to the look. Wearing the
same shade can often make the outfit dull.
Avoid Bohemian details. Keep it simple
by not including boots or hats with the look. Fringes are a total no-no.
We don’t want to end up looking like a cowboy, do we now?
Change those shoes. Most of us reserve our heels just for fancy parties
and those sneakers keep waiting for the trek that never happened. Give
your denim look a structure with pointy heels or add bright sneakers to
give it a pump.
Add colour. If you are hesitant to try all denim. Wear a pop graphic t
shirt inside your denim shirt or jacket to tone down the look. Or you can
add a bright bag or a statement necklace.
Distress. Don’t be scared to rip those jeans off. It’s surprising how much
attitude it adds to the look. But make sure you keep it to just one element
of the outfit.
How do you guys plan to flaunt your denim? Leave a comment below.
BOHEMIAN
The world is ravishing the fall, but the temperature continues to soar
here in Mumbai. I can’t wait for the sweater weather anymore. I
recently visited Forever21, and just fell in love with the knit dresses.
Only if winter arrives already.
While it is still warm out there, let’s talk about Bohemian trends
today. I frankly disliked the whole fad in the beginning but have
grown such a fan that now my wardrobe is full of fringes and prints
and all things tan. It’s going from a fad to a trend that’s here to stay.
It’s been here for 2 springs and is defiantly staying for another one.
The trend is comfortable and the yet so chic.
How does one be a gypsy girl without
looking like someone out of a 1970’s
music festivals you ask? Here’s a few
trends you can flaunt.
Flared jeans. Yes, you heard me
right, the “boot leg” jeans are back and
totally in vogue. Pair it with a tunic or a
simple t’ shirt and you are good to go.
Fringe it up. Don’t hesitate to play
with fringes. You can start with a bag to
play it safe. It instantly light up any
outfit.
Accessorize. Feathers, chains, flowers, the boho vibes are
everywhere. Pick up whatever suits your personality and add
them to your outfit or even your hair.
Layer it up. Prints on prints with flowy silhouettes will add the
perfect amount of spunk to your casual outfit.
Colour palate. While it’s easy to go overboard with so much
going on, keep the colours minimal and earthy in tone with the
bohemian vibes.
Suede. Make it your best friend if you are a boho beginner.be it
boots or necklaces, suede goes with everything perfectly.
Dull metal. Dig into your mother’s closet and pick up the old
silver jewellery. Noting gets better than silver accessories for
this trend.
I personally like to keep my outfit minimal and play with accessories
when it comes to bohemian trends.
How do you embrace your inner wanderer?
