Over the last 40 years, the Women's Crisis Center (WCC) has met the needs of the community by providing Domestic

Violence & Sexual Assault Intervention & Prevention Services. WCC offers many services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, including a 24 hour hotline, emergency shelter services,

counseling services, and medical & legal advocacy. All of their services are free

and offered 24 hours.

MEMBERS IN THE NEWS IN JUNE

The Kentucky Gateway Museum is starting a new “Summer Sunday” on July 3rd. This is to provide access to the museum on Sundays. They will be open from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. every Sunday through September 4th.

Maysville Community and Technical College and Meadowview Regional Medical Center partnered to offer the Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) program. The partnership is the first in the nation to jointly offer the program by a medical facility and a community college. This program gives comprehensive training and certification to environmental services technicians (EST’s) in healthcare.

CONGRATULATIONS to Caroline Keller Reece, she has been named the City of Maysville’s Main Street Director. She started her new position on June 20th.

CONGRATULATIONS to Robbie Kimble he has been hired as the Principal of the Mason County Intermediate School. He assumed this job July 1st.

The Washington Rec. Park is going to add a ‘Bark Park’ to the area. This will help dog owners get their ever so playful pets some room to run.

The Russell Theatre has begun a movie frequency three times a week. Go to www.russelltheatre.org to find out movies and showing times.

State Representative Mike Denham was named Grand Marshal for the City of Maysville’s Fourth of July parade. He lead the parade through down-town Maysville.
