April 10, 2013 Suzi Sobolik On our final Leadership Dickinson session we learned more about Health and Human Services in Dickinson. We started our day learn-ing about the many different programs Southwest District Health provided to our region. It isn't just immunizations, they have the WIC program, Men's Way, tobacco cessation programs, people trained to run mass disasters, and many others. Next we went to Vo-cational Rehab and visited with Kari Shea. She helped us to understand more about how we can adapt a work station to cater to people with disabilities. The most fun part was getting to play with all the adaptive equipment she has. Then we went to the hospital and met with Dennis Cannon. He shared some great insights on leadership styles and also educated us on the new facility they will be building. For lunch today we were invited to The Rotary Club. We were able to sit with various business people from the community and visit while listening to a presentation on how Sherri Adams went to Ghana to teach incident command. As today was our final day, we had a little graduation ceremony and then went for treats at Tutti Frutti.
