CHAIR MESSAGE

Annette Loritz, Chair

New Year’s Greetings! On behalf of the Lisle Area Chamber

of Commerce Board of Directors, I would like to welcome

you to 2019! I look forward to our continued collaboration

with all the opportunities that the Lisle Area Chamber offers.

I would like to thank the Board of Directors for their trust,

and mentorship, as I move into the role of Board Chair. A

special thank you goes to our past Chair Peter James for his

exceptional contributions to the role during 2018. Along with chamber

members, Executive Director Jill Eidukas, Claudine Rummer and the Board

of Directors, the Chamber continues to promote an environment of

support and partnership for all in our community.

For those of you who may not be familiar with who I am, I work as

the National Director of Strategic Initiatives at Benedictine University, here

is Lisle. In my role, collaboration is key for the success of students and for the University. When I reflect on the University Hallmarks, Hospitality and

Community ring most relevant for what members do here, within the

Chamber. The commitment of our members is what makes our Chamber

community the welcoming organization that it is today.

For 2019, I encourage all members to attend exciting event and

networking opportunities. Every month, the Chamber hosts a variety of

activities to help promote your business so be sure to participate! Along

with events like the annual Dinner Dance, Golf Outing, Ale Fest, Lisle

Uncorked and Turkey Trot, there are weekly activities and opportunities

so be sure mark your calendar— we’ll see you there! Remember, the Lisle

Area Chamber of Commerce is here to help your business grow.

I look forward to 2019 and all that the year will bring. I am excited

for the opportunity to personally meet many of the members, which are

the heart and soul of our community. One of the ongoing initiatives for

the Chamber is to retain and grow membership. Like your business, a

healthy network is vital for success. I encourage all members to participate

in the many benefits the Lisle Area Chamber has to offer, and to invite new

members to join. In addition to member-to-member benefits, we all

prosper from being part of an even larger community. Wishing you a

CHAMBER NEWS

Another year has flown by at the Lisle Area Chamber of

Commerce. At our Annual Meeting and Holiday party this past

December, Claudine prepared a slide show of all of our 2018

events. This has reminded me that we are a very active Chamber

and very active in the community. We offer many events for our

Members and the community like the Dinner Dance, Lisle

Uncorked, Golf Outing, Lisle Ale Fest, Turkey Trot Tune Up 5K, a

17 Chamber event, Multi-Chamber Economic luncheon, New

Member reception, State of the Village, State of the County,

Business After Hours, and Ribbon Cuttings. We will be bringing in some new

events so watch the calendar in your emails for more details.

Each year I am inspired to continue to grow this Chamber and enhance the

benefits offered to each and every member. In 2019, we will develop ways to have

our businesses be more visible through sponsorships, advertising and social media.

Like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and Instagram. We will be more active

on LinkedIn this year. If you know of any business that you think would like to join

the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce please forward their name to us. When

they join you get a free ticket to a future lunch event. We also feature Member-to

-Member discounts on our website. If you would like to add a discount please

forward that to us.

Also, in 2019, I will represent the Lisle Area Chamber and be advocating on your

behalf in Springfield at Chamber Day. I will attend the IACCE conference in

November to learn new trends in chamber world. On March 15, 2019 the Illinois

Chamber Woman’s Day conference will be coming to the area. Watch for more

information coming soon about this second annual event. In late spring we will be

preparing for the directory and community profile. This is a great way to advertise

to the community at large. We have 10,000 directories delivered door-to-door to

single family homes in Lisle.

Don’t miss the State of the Village Luncheon with Mayor Christopher Pecak,

Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Lisle from 11:30 am-1:30 pm.

Register online or contact the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce at 630-964-0052

if you are interested in attending.

The Annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction, Blarney Bash, a Gaelic Gala will be

on March 1, at the Hilton, Lisle/Naperville from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Six Chamber

Members will compete in the Dancing with the Chamber Stars portion of the

event. Invitations will be mailed to you soon. This year we will offer early bird
